BREAKING NEWS: Mayor Ireton Vetoes City Council PAC 14 Funding

Even though the City Council passed an optional funding reduction from 30% to 20% to PAC 14 on its second reading Monday night, Mayor Jim Ireton vetoed their vote.

Unless a majority of the Council votes to override to Mayor's veto, it will stand where it is today and that's that.

Ireton is implementing the socialist agenda of banning any information not on the official Alinsky playbook. While the "Fairness Doctrine" could not pass through the Congress it will be back doored (an Ireton favorite) through from the local level up. Congratulations Salisbury for electing a Socialist Leftist as mayor--

That's not what the council funded. They funded the four quarters of 2012 at 30 (unchanged), 30 (unchanged), 27 1/2, and 25 percent of city proceeds from Comcast fees. That amounts to a $6200 decrease from 2011. PAC14 is newly a 501c3 non-profit and can raise tax-deductible donations, which is what the council hopes and encourages it to do. If they can't meet that goal, they can come back to council with a budget change request. The mayor didn't need to do this -- it's all political.

What a childish petty boy he's turned out to be. Can't believe he's allowed to wear long pants.

REDUCE spending here...It's not as though anybody watches it. & whose pocket is he in anyway? They should find their own funding, period!
