Yes, this includes the summer hours as well. No longer can you get off work and take a stroll through the Zoo and enjoy what you have paid for as a City Taxpayer.
It seems to be a sort of punishment because they did not receive the kind of funding they wanted from the Mayor and City Council.
One would think they'd come up with hours that would work for those who mainly fund the operation but in typical style they want to make sure YOU notice THEY are pissed.
God Forbid they charge $1.00 per person to non residents of the City and make up the difference to keep it open until 7 or 8 PM.
So you can confirm what I'm telling you, GO HERE and see for yourself.

We all need to deal with the cut backs 9:00 to 4:30 works for me if it's saving money.
If they just wanted to cut man hours they should have it scheduled open at noon and close at 8PM.
I would bet there would be more people going there between 4:30 and 8PM than from 8:30AM to noon.
Good sense would tell you the foot traffic would help for more donations.
But that's just a common sense thing. Can't go there.
i agree with 1:46. or at least do this 2 days a week to give options. again; when people have never had a business or made a payroll they don't get it......

i agree with adjusting the hours of operation. The summer hours should be 11 am to 7pm and winter hours 9 am to 5 pm.
