GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County police say a man claiming to be a utility company employee robbed a woman at gunpoint in her Glen Burnie home.
The woman told police about 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, a man came to her home, flashed an identity card and said he was from Pepco, a utility that does not serve Anne Arundel County.
Police said the robber told the woman he was there to check on a gas leak.
Once inside, the man pulled a gun and robbed the woman. He fled in a car parked around the corner.
Police say utility company workers do not make unannounced house calls.

There was a backlog of things that needed attention. I wouldn't say niether of you are long winded, but thorough, as should be. Think hard and discuss before mistakes are made that can't be reversed.
Discuss scenarios and things that could be done if the game plan changes ahead of time and be prepared to go to a plan "B." Instead of having to start from square one all over again.
I think the new council makes a refreshing change. We all knew these jobs weren't part time if a lot of effort was put to it.
Thanks G.A.
Wrong thread?
Never talk to strangers our parents would say and it is true today as well.
Answer the door the next time with a double barrell 10 gauge shot gun.
If you do not know how to handle a weapon please contact your local gun dealer and they will refer you to someone who will assist you. Than when pole climber or any other criminal checks you out they will run and scream MOMMY when they are looking down the barrell of your GUN.
