Stand Up AGAINST Hate!

Mr. Albero:
I would like to cordially invite you and your readers to attend the Stand Up AGAINST Hate Rally located on the public sidewalks at McDonalds at 6315 Kenwood Avenue in Rosedale, Maryland.   As you you will recall a transgendered woman was brutally beaten after she attempted to use a female restroom and turning down sexual advances at a McDonalds.  The video is vile but I encourage you and your readers to watch the video to see what the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community is up against.  We face evil everyday from in tolerate bigots.
Joe, I am a Salisbury native and I currently live in Wicomico County, I have joined forces with a Baltimore native in organizing this event.  I also organized a candle light vigil in Wilmington, Delaware where over 300 people attended including, Senator Chris Coons, Attorney General Beau Biden, and several clergy members.
I will close with this, what happened at that McDonalds is unacceptable behavior.  We as a human race cannot stand for such violence and hate.  I look forward to meeting with you.
Many thanks,
Ryan Stevenson

Ryan,
Unfortunately you're preaching to the wrong audience. Most of the responses that you will get here will be those of hate and bigotry. They really do cling to their guns and bibles here and follow the likes of Beck and Hannity like obedient sheep.
Glad you're partnering with Baltimore people, they are way more tolerant.
Good luck.

Speak for yourself.

I personally don't like gays that much, but being assaulted is another thing.

I'm sure Ryan will find some support in this area, everyone is not as closed minded as you seem to be.

The bullies thought they would get away with the violence because the person was transgendered. It is too bad that the gay alliance does not have more support from science and educate people about sexual orientation. It is not a choice.

9:25, The only people I am intolerant of are people like you. You describe people you don't even know. Your post is a perfect example of hate and intolerance.

To the IDIOTS trying to put up hateful comments to this Post, you will NOT get published.

Its one thing to have an opinion, it's another to comment anonymously with the same kind of hate seen at McDonald's.

That's right Joe. I have my own opinion about gays but being beat up like this is not acceptable no matter the oreintation.

It is most definitely a hate crime and should be prosecuted as such, in my opinion.

I'm 9:25 and my post is a results of reading multiple comments here over the years and the vibe here is that most people who comment are homophobic PERIOD.
Like it or not, there are absolutely no lies in my comments. Just look at 9:55 comment by the moderator.

While I welcome most comments, this should be about healthy debate and NOT more hate.

Fortunately for you, anonymous 10:05, I rejected your hateful comments. Are you afraid a guy in a dress is going to come up to you and start hitting on you? Especially here on a Blog!

Get a grip and start accepting the some people are different. I'll poke fun here and there just like anyone else but acting like a bully and showing hate, that's just wrong.

Look at the people from Westboro who picket deceased soldiers funerals. We may not accept their way of thinking or their way of life but my guess is your not MAN enough to go to one of their funerals and stand up for what you believe in. instead, wussy's like you hide behind anonymous and try to show more hate.

Anyone taking an educated guess would probably believe your JT or JR just trying to stir the pot again.

Being homophobic, as you put it, is one thing, allowing encouraging and condoning physcial assault is quite another.

Most, if not all, of the bigotry I have seen is coming from you

So let me get this straight. If you own a gun and carry a bible that makes you a biggot. lol. The even more sad fact here is that because she or he was White and the suspects Black there will be no hate crime. That is the true issue here. If the suspects were White then yes they would be tarred and feathered and there would be documentaries about this poor sexually confused "person" getting beaten at Black Macks. Yea i said it get over it. BlakDonalds is no place to stop at night. Just to use the bath room ? Come on something stinks here all the way around.

I am sick of the left agenda being forced down mt throat. No pun intended. Seriously. I can not say the lords prayer at work, but you can wear a Rainbow Warrior shirt. I can not put a cross on the wall of my office, but Joe and Bob can post fliers saying they are having a civil union at No Mad Village in Rehobeth and short shorts are required. Is it just me or is this country in deep doo doo. MSM has played to this for years.

To the poster that stated it is not a choice. Yes everything in life is a choice. Show me one piece of eveidence that ALL gays where born that way. You are part of that scientific, agnostic, world that still believe you sprung from apes. Smiling. I understand you thought process. I see it the first of the month at the local post office. Some did not spring far.

Have a Delmarvalous Day.

Question: Are you a Christian? If so, who do you think Jesus loves most, gays or you, or any group or you?

hey anonymous..12:18pm...isn't it contradictory to carry the Bible and own a gun? lol... "Vengence is mine sayeth the Lord."...sounds like you are trying to put words in other's mouths..of course, that is interpretation, eh? I am not sure how the assault has anything to do with certain shirts, the Lord's prayer, crosses at work, or whether or not this is or is not a choice..of course John 3:16 says that he who believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life..I suppose that's true whether you are homosexual or carry around a gun.

Two wrongs have never made anything right.Being assaulted in any shape or form is wrong. We dont agree with every life style that we come in contact with. Does it make it right to inflict pain and suffering on those that are different? Who are we to judge a person to determine they need a beat down. Those that find it ok and think it is exceptable are in a world of hurt themselves. When it hits home you will understand that you love people for who they are and not what they could be.Dont curse someone you love by your judgment of others.
