Dog Found At Parsons Cemetery

Hi Joe,

We found this male dog today at Parsons Cemetery. He followed us home and we asked neighbors if they had seen him before but no one recognized him. He is very friendly and hyper! He looks to have been groomed recently and is wearing a brown collar. He also had a bandanna around his neck and I took it off for the picture so if someone claims that he belongs to them, they can identify the bandanna. A photo is attached. My phone number is 410.726.6248.

You should try contacting local groomers to see if they had him recently, then they might know the owner. Typically groomers put bandannas on their dogs after they groom then, so maybe he was just groomed in the last day or so and could be recognized.

Cute dog!!! Hope it finds it's owner.

Good thinking on your part about the owner identifying the bandana

The dog does not look like he has been abused or neglected.
By the looks of the dog a elder female probably owns him. Good luck...

I would contact Rusty Barnes at 443-366-4764. He is the manager of the cemetery and knows pretty much everyone and everything that comes in and out of that place. He is a very polite and professional person and, I'm sure, very willing to help out. You can find him a lot of times chatting with not only families of the deceased, but also those who use the cemetery for daily walks.

i CAN'T believe no one has claimed that dog? Obviously, they don't know about the blog...

I just hope that if the dog has an elderly owner, like one poster thought, that the owner is okay. I wouldn't want the reason that the dogs owner hasn't come forward is because of a problem. Maybe Anon 6:20 pm could check if he/she knows the area where the dog lives?

Other best bet is Tuesday called the grooming parlors around in the area. there are about 4 in a short distance of there. Petsmart as well.

A similar dog was found last summer in Ocean City. His name was Angel-the Spanish pronunciation. He did belong to a hispanic couple from Salisbury who happened to be fishing at the OC inlet. I can't remember the exact collar he had on but it was either a Coach or some other designer collar. Angel had a tag with a cell number on it at that time. Maybe it fell off? If any of the local groomers (Angel had the same haircut)know him maybe they would know how to contact this couple.
