Mom Jailed For Falsifying Address To Send Kids To Better School District

How ridiculous! If only more parents wanted the best for their children we would live in a much better place!

I agree. A parent is actively trying to do right by her child to get her what she feels is a better education and she is punished for it.

Rules are rules but jail time? Maybe that wasn't a better school after all.

Well it's not ridiculous. People with better schools generally pay higher taxes. The exhibit around here would be Delmar, MD. Their taxes are much higher than the surrounding communities and their schools are jam packed. While I do not think anyone should be arrested for this, I do think if the school districts were a little more proactive with regards to this then Delmar would have a little more room.
