GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY TO HOST RECEIVING LINE FOR THE PUBLIC TOMORROW FOLLOWING INAUGURATION

ANNAPOLIS, MD (January 18, 2011) – Governor Martin O’Malley and First Lady Katie O’Malley will host a receiving line at Government House tomorrow, following the Governor’s inauguration for a second term.

Members of the public wishing to attend the 2011 Maryland Inaugural in Annapolis are encouraged to park at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium on Taylor Avenue, Annapolis.  Shuttles will transport spectators to the State House for the outdoor ceremony.  Media with non-satellite vehicles are encouraged to take advantage of these lots as well. 

The receiving line will begin at approximately 2:00 p.m. through the main gate of Government House, along State Circle.

Members of the media must enter through this same gate and will be escorted into the house in groups.  This event is available for b-roll and still photos only.

WHERE:         Per the Maryland Constitution, the official swearing-in takes place in the Maryland Senate Chambers, first floor of the State House
