Not if we're lucky.

Yes he will , you guys are dreamin.

Yes, he will stay the full term to complete his one term as mayor. He'll then be voted out and replaced with a monkey because a monkey could make better decisions than he has been making.

Yes and he will win again because no one substantial will run against him.
Unless Joe plans on moving into the city?

Does the city have the money to pay for the brand new work boots the new fire chief is buying for each and every employee? They better because work boots aren't cheap!!

Does this mean the new fire chief will be buying brand new work boots for all the volunteers in the city? I hope so since it is only fair. Why would the paid guys get new work boots but the volunteers wouldn't? Where is this money coming from? I thought the city didn't have money and had to furlough the police and firefighters? Where did the new fire chief find several thousand dollars to buy brand new work boots for the firefighters when the police and firefighters are losing pay due to furloughs? This doesn't make sense to the tax payers at all. If a new fire chief finds money in the budget to buy every employee brand new work boots then someone lied to the mayor and council about their wants and needs. This is one corrupt city and it looks like the new fire chief will fit in just fine.

I don't know, but I sure hope not.

The only hope is that we get someone to run against him. I think we have all seen by now the scams he has pulled and he should not be reelected.

I sure hope not or Salisbury is in bad shape!! We're all up for you running Joe!

Bring Back Barrie?

Anonymous said...

Yes, because like Richard Gere said..."He's got no place else to go"

Anonymous said...

Of course he will. He will likely be re-elected as well. I see yoiu have the support of all 7 of your blind followers here Joe, why not run? We could all use a good laugh.

The way I see it he hasn't "served" during many of the months since he was elected. If using the word serve lightly then probably, I am sure he loves getting that extra $$ for not holding a title that apparently has little responsibility.

I have really thought about "Bring Back Barrie," as 11:27 suggests. I did vote for Ireton because I thought that he was a breath of fresh air. Wow, was I fooled! Maybe no one can handle the job, given the Council that he must work with. We blamed Barrie for all sorts of things, but was has changed with a new mayor? No matter who comprises the Council, I think that we're going to have problems. Only if we vote out the entire Council and elect another mayor will we maybe see some relief. The mayor should not have aligned himself with the two that he has joined with; in fact,a mayor should be careful about aligning with anyone on Council. He is one branch, the Council another.

I care. Just like in any other profession its part of what they are required to wear. Is there any other company out there plumbers, electricians etc that pay for their employees foot wear even though it's required by OSHA? They should pay for their boots on their dime NOT MINE. This is the type of unneeded spending that ticks people off.

Yes and he'll remain in office for a couple more terms just like Dingle Barry

1:25, are you stupid? Like Louise Smith, he got in because of "the two" he was aligned with.

Note I said "was." He's treated them both like dirt and used them when it suited his purpose. Those "two" are the only thing standing between the city running like a stampede over regular folks.

Yes, he'll serve out his term. Yes, he's arrogant enough to run again and think no one much will be put up against him.

You want to fix this city? You get rid of Comegys and Smith, hold onto Cohen, and get in two others like her that aren't bought and paid for. Make sure they aren't frauds pretending to be aligned with those "two" but really working for slumlords or spend-a-plenty mayors.

Then you get that Mayor a spine and with a council that will back him, fire some of those staff idiots advising him to do Barrie's bidding.

Who bungled this firehouse deal for instance? Fire their assets.

Of course he will. The people of Salisbury are all mouth and no bite.

They come on here and talk a good game but when all is said and done they get their fat lazy butts out of the recliner and go back to bed.

The mayor and council know this and do not sweat any action from its' citizens. And rightfully so.

Stop flapping your gums and do something.

Everyone puts Joe up front and says sic em Joe but what do they do? Nothing.

Pathetic little crybabies. I'm sick of all your whining and do nothing boneheads.
