The students were out of control and the police were called they handle the situation and get sued.

Being supportive of the police is a good thing but not when you turn a blind eye to their abuses.

They ABUSED their authority, they violated people's rights, they unnecessarily beat people, and probably a few things I have forgotten, AND THEN THEY LIED AND MADE FALSE REPORTS TO COVER IT UP.

Not only should they be sued, but they should face charges and punishment.

You cannot make exceptions just because they are law enforcers.

Several men attacked and beat someone with clubs and were (luckily) videotaped doing it. NINE MONTHS LATER, the FBI is "interviewing" the men to get "their side of the story"....Their side of the story has been written down and submitted to the police as sworn statements. The problem? The attackers were cops, the written statements were unmitigated lies. If I attacked someone with a club, I would be arrested IMMEDIATELY and would get a chance to tell "my side of the story" in a courtroom. And if I took the stand and lied, there's ANOTHER crime. I would NOT get an "interview". PUBLIC MASTERS!! Cops, like politicians, should be held to a HIGHER standard than normal ---- the power and authority they wield calls for nothing less. But then, again, we are the serfs and THEY are the MASTERS. Good thing it was videotaped, or the kid would still be in jail.

Exactly. Makes one wonder about the times that were not video taped.

bottom line should be - did the student(s) deserve it? if he/she did deserve it, done.

If they weren't there he wouldn't have gotten roughed up...get over it !

Just so everyone knows this incident was video taped and was all over the web. If here is any question in your head about whether the student "deserved" it look at the youtube video link below of the incident.

The student was skipping and dancing in the streets after a game, and was no threat to anyone. The police decided to just beat the snot out of him for the hell of it, then lied like crazy in their reports of the incident that the student attacked the police horse. These police need to go to jail.

11:53 & 12:51....so, using YOUR reasoning, why don't we just abolish the entire judiciary branch, and while we are at it, just get rid of the legislative branch, too and go straight to a dictatorship, enforced by the all-knowing and never-wrong police department? Let THEM decide who gets clubbed and beaten. Works for you? I'm sure it would....until YOU'RE on the wrong side of the clubbing, which, sooner or later, ALWAYS occurs....ask a German (or Italian) citizen who went through your utopian vision of "they deserve it" society....watch the video and then come back and apologize for your inane remarks.

Agreed. Seems like the same 12 year old who has been posting on this site lately.

Maybe when and if he matures he will get a clue.

7:52....and, perhaps, when you stop being an apologist for whomever is in control at the moment, you will begin to have a clue, too.
