Incident: Malicious Destruction of Property
Date of Incident: Poplar Neck Road at Railroad Avenue

Narrative: On 31 October 2010 at 8:01 AM a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Pittsville Cemetery located on Poplar Neck Road at Railroad Avenue in reference to a report for malicious destruction of property. Upon arrival the deputy met with the complainant who advised that someone had damaged several head stones on the property. The deputy walked the property and observed extensive damage to several of the headstones within the cemetery. The damage was estimated to be upwards of $5000.00.

During the investigation the deputy made contact with several persons who reside in the area and were eventually able to develop three suspects. The suspects included two 15 year old male juveniles and one 14 year old male juvenile all of Pittsville, Maryland. The three suspects were all interviewed and eventually arrested. The juveniles were all later released back to the custody of their parents.

Incident: Assault 1st Degree/ Assault 2nd Degree
Date of Incident: 3 November 2010
Location: 1200 block of Pine Street, Delmar, Maryland
Suspect: Bradford Ayers, 24, Delmar, MD

Narrative: On 3 November 2010 at 5:20 PM deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 1200 block of Pine Street in reference to a report of an assault in progress.

Upon their arrival deputies observed a female later identified as Karen Dunn standing outside the residence. Dunn had severe facial trauma and it appeared that she had been assaulted. Deputies met with Dunn while she received medical treatment from Delmar Emergency Services. Dunn advised the deputies that she was assaulted by her son Bradford Ayers. Dunn was then transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center where she received further treatment for her injuries.

After meeting with Dunn deputies entered the residence where they located Bradford Ayers. Ayers was located in an upstairs bedroom and was covered in blood. It appears that the blood was not his own but had come from his mother as a result of the assault.

Ayers was placed under arrest and later transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center where he was released to the custody of central booking. Ayers is being held in lieu of a $50,000 Bond.

Incident: Counterfeit United States Currency
Date of Incident: 3 October 2010
Location: Parsons Road at Fairground Drive
Suspect: Shawn L. Brown, 35, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 4 October 2010 at 1125 PM a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office was on patrol in the area of Parsons Road at Fairground Drive when his attention was drawn to a vehicle with an inoperable tail light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Shawn L. Brown.

A Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office canine team was requested to assist in the traffic stop. The canine team completed a canine scan of the vehicle which led to a subsequent search of the interior of the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle deputies located various denominations of counterfeit United States Currency concealed behind the glove box of the vehicle.

Brown was arrested and later transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center where he was released to the custody of central booking. Brown was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Charges: Ten Counts of Possession of counterfeit United States Currency

If the teen suspects are found guilty of $5000 damage to gravestones, the charges should not be plea bargained, pbj or dropped. The teens or their parents should be forced to pay for the damages in full, perform many hours of community service work and attend anger management classes.

I agree. I heard that some of the stones were older ones that probably wont be able to be fixed. These 3 need to be punished harshly for this nonsense.

Since when do drug dogs hit on currency? I'm glad they found it but how it was detected seems fishy.
