Joe,
Hearing a rumor coming out of OC that at the council meeting tomorrow night, one of the councilman (the rumor says Hall) will propose a 5% wage cut for most employees and up to a 20% cut in management wages. That is what is going around in the rumor mill of the town employees. If it is Hall, I wonder if he is going to cut prices in his restaurant 20% since times are so hard?

Customer checks in restaurants are not (usually) paid out of taxpayer funds and the customer has a choice of what to order or whether to even patronize a particular restaurant. City employee salaries, however, are paid out of taxpayer funds and the taxpayers have no choice in the matter.
Wow, what a stupid thought process. Cut prices in restaurant? What have you been smoking?
Are the council people part of the management wage 20% wage cut? Or are they like most politicians who don't receive a pay cut no matter what their may be.
The short answer to your question is ----- no. How could he pay for the mortgage and boat in Florida?
Cut their wages even more.. bloated government employees... better yet how about a 10% across the board lay-offs... that could save some real money
The Federal government should cut all non military wages by at least 20%. No exceptions!

What is the difference in Military and Police? Military fight the war outsid the USA, Police fight the war on our homefront daily. Why only cut some and not all?
The OC council meeting begins at 1pm tomorrow not tomorrow evening. All those interested should make a point to be there and let the council know they have had enough and go cut somewhere else. Hall cannot run his restaurant so I am sure he cannot run Ocean City.
OC continues to make choices that chase off potential visitors. No visitors, no OC, but they don't get it. The proposed bus fare hikes are just one more idiotic move. They say that it will raise about $600k per year. Will it, or will that many more people just go to Va Beach or Wildwood? We have friends that have known for years that they can go to Aruba cheaper than they can come to OC. What a shame.
