Great teamwork by all agencies. It's great to see MSP and DSP crossing state lines to work together.

The dynamics have certainly changed in recent years. Teenagers used to mouth off to the police and maybe try to throw a punch, now they pull out a gun and start shooting before saying a word. It is a real shame parents have lost sight of parenting and disciplining their children. No one decides to shoot at an officer as the first crime committed.

I hope the police agencies continue to work hard and capture Young. I also hope parents start teaching their kids a gun does not solve anything and most times it complicates your life even more. There is way too many people that have no regard for human life.

(I am all for defending yourself by all means necessary, but this situation is in no way related to self defense)

Im sure there is more to this story. when the kid is caught we can get his side of the story as well

Given how many fear the police some may think that is an option they need. Not that its the right one at all but many cops are way too aggressive in many situations

Lets hear the kids version of what happened

Doesn't matter what the kids version is. He shot at a cop for god's sake.

Who cares what the kid's version of what happened is 1:29? He could have told "his version" at the start of this nightmare of his own making. No one made his run after firing the shots at the trooper.
And what's up with this "fear" the police excuse?

If I were a police officer, I'd be aggresive too. Their job is horrible with the lack of respect kids and others have now.

The bleeding hearts who are parents are responsible for this state of choas and lack of respect for authority. They turn themselves inside out to keep their kids from facing the consequences of their actions. Maybe we should throw the parents in jail too.

The "kid" was in a stolen car with a hand gun and shot at an officer. He has been in trouble numerous times. Some moron commenter berated a man who said he'd shoot the "kid" if he showed up at his door. He said real men don't have to talk like that. Well, a real man protects his family, and if that want, attempted murdering kid shows up uninvited at anyone's door, they should protect their family from him. Moron then went on to talk about his military day's. Well, I was in the military in the late 60's. Spent months in the jungle killing Viet Kong. I have more respect for them than this "kid." They were a mortal enemy, but they were fighting for what they believed. This "kid" is just vermin and a menace to society. So, you apologist punk, you said one man wasn't a real man for being willing to deal with a violent piece of vermin, I say YOU are't a real man!

In regards to 1:29 pm. He is only 18 what is he doing with a gun and out at that time of night. Nothing good happens after 11:00 he should of been home.

Well I did feel sorry just a little bit for this kid. But now after reading he has stolen a car and has once again run from responsiblity I don't feel one bit sorry for him.
I just hope an innocent person isn't killed. At this point Young is desparate and is capable of anything.

2:48 You are 100% right!

1:29 you need to find a book on accountability and common sense. NO one had the right to shoot at an officer, no one had the right to shoot a gun at anyone that is not threatening his/her life. He is not a kid he is an adult by statue of the law and he needs to be treated like an adult. That's what is wrong with this country people claiming adults are kids because they were cuddled and covered for all their lives. Stop raising spoiled little brats with no responsibility for their actions and no appreciation for human life.

All we can do is pray that Wyatt will turn himself in! I know I am!

Still praying he will do the right thing and turn himself in so innocent people do not get harmed in the process. Wonder how he obtained the stolen car? He is probably headed to Canada, but it is time to face the music.

Get this worthless punk off the street and throw him in jail.

God bless little Wyatt. You people don't understand him.

anonymous 10:31 and others,

Don't you think for a second I don't know about this kid and what he's done, because I do. The general public is unaware of what happened that night. I DO but I'm not at liberty to discuss it. This young man needs to do the right thing and turn himself in and return YOU KNOW WHAT.

I am keeping my word not saying anything but he truly needs to just turn himself in and do the right thing.

The public will learn of EVERYTHING soon enough.

Now, mind you, anyone who isn't wondering what a State Trooper was doing in that area to start with is slow. There will be a whole lot more coming out about this situation, so be patient.

i have a theory joe... the cop and wyatt were in a bad deal of some sort.. why do you think he got away the first time.. if the cop got shot at and nothing got hit why would he let wyatt get away without following him until back up arrived or fire his gun as well.. do our cops have the balls or are they just busy giving citations to college kids..just a guess though
