As long as the Republicans gain the house it will be a huge victory, that would give Republicans subpoena power!

It's a good thing Jon Stewart held his DC rally because it's the last thing the democrats will be laughing and dancing about for awhile.
Vote REPUBLICAN! We've had enough of the BO agenda-higher taxing of the middle class, huge government and the creation of a vast welfare dependent society.

Let us just hope & pray the "Right Person" is voted in do matter which party carries the majority!!!!

REPUBLICANS!!! Would like to see a "surprise" win in the Senate! That would make my day!

getting the republicans in is only the first part. getting them to undo all the damage the democrats have done will be the huge undertaking.

I'm hope it's the republican party that will be dancing. If not , the country will be lost forever.

Hopefully, it will be the Republicans.

I know it will be the Republicans, and I am glad, but for the first time, I voted for a third party--I voted Libertarian. I don't live in Wicomico County anymore, though I grew up there and still have family there, so I still keep up with what goes on. I definately don't agree with the Democrats, and I am a real "right-winger," moreso than my hubby. I just don't feel that the Republican Party represents my feelings. I know the Libertarian candidate has no chance of winning where I live, but at least I voted my concience instead of a robo-vote that I have voted for the last 16 years.

If this republic is to survive at all as we knew it before the past 2 years, I pray it will be the GOP. If that occurs it will be only the beginning. The American people will have to hold Congress members' feet to the fire every day, make them accountable and undo the damage the current administration has done. We cannot survive as a nation drowning in this debt.

The republicans will have a great day today thanks to the Obama administration and its failed policies.

The time for change is NOW...Make sure to get out and vote today!!!

A vote for a libertarian or an Independent is a vote for the Democrats!! This is exactly what the Democrats wanted you to do. IDIOT!!

What gives you the right to judge someone as an idiot when you do not walk in their shoes? We have denegrated to name calling when we do not agree or do not have all of the facts.
Did you read her comments before you flew into your blind rage? She stated that she belives in right wing values, but that the GOP no longer represents true conservatives. I agree with her but will vote GOP to get rid of the immediate problem. Then I will start looking for the right person for the job. If someone does not take the first step to change things for themselves, it will remain the same forever.
Take a pill and chill!!!

Considering that in the Congressional race in my district, there was no Democrat running against the Republican, it would have been pretty hard for my vote for the Libertarian candidate to be a vote for the Democrat. I'm not an idiot, I'm just a (former) Republican that is fed up with Republicans talking out of both sides of their mouths. I read the record of the Republican, and I read what the Libertarian stood for. I felt as though he represented my feelings better. It doesn't change the fact that I embrace conservative values, I just no longer embrace the Republican party the way I did years ago. Fortunately for me, in Virginia, we don't have to have a party affiliation when we register, so I can vote in a primary, and still cast votes for conservative candidates.

I'm voting Republican with the exception of two candidates. On some, I refuse to even vote for the one who was unopposed - just can't do it. Let's hope the Republicans are the victory celebrants tonight !

Lets hope Maryland gets painted Red today. I voted for Pollitt though, the first Dem I have ever voted for in my life.

I don't care who wins the election as long as I 'can dance the night away'

Part of the problem in Washington is the number of voters who only vote a straight ticket, whether it be Democrat or Republican because they're not smart enough to make up their minds based on the issues.
They would rather stay "loyal" to their party which is not always the best thing to do.
Especially in this election cycle, anyone who votes straight ticket is in my book wanting nothing to change, because it won't.
