Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 3 October 2010
Location: 1900 block of Pine Way, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: 1. Daniel H. Schultheis Jr., 18, Salisbury, MD
2. Female, 17 YOA, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 3 October 2010 at 2:26 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an altercation occurring inside a residence in the 1900 block of Pine Way in Salisbury. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Daniel Schultheis and his 17 year old sister were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. During the ensuing confrontation, both were accused of assaulting each other and both had signs of injury that corroborated each account.
The deputy placed Daniel under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the Distinct Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released him on Personal Recognizance.
The deputy also arrested the 17 year old juvenile and charged her on a Juvenile Referral. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending formal court action.

Suspect: Walter Johnson, 42, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 2 October 2010 at 6:05 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate an altercation occurring inside a residence in the 3100 block of Old Ocean City Road in Salisbury. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Walter Johnson had been embroiled in a verbal altercation with his girlfriend that turned physical. The victim in this case told the deputy that Johnson came up behind her, grabbed her around the neck and threatened to kill her. The deputy saw signs of injury on the victim that corroborated her account.
The deputy placed Johnson under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Johnson was released by the Commissioner on Personal Recognizance.

Suspect: Erica D. Holbrooke, 27, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 3 October 2010 at 2:13 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 700 block of East Road to investigate a reported altercation that was occurring inside there. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Erica Holbrooke was involved in a verbal argument with her husband over money. The argument turned physical when Holbrooke allegedly dug her fingernails into her husband’s face. During the investigation, the deputy saw signs of injury on the victim that supported that accusation.
The deputy placed Holbrooke under arrest and transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Holbrooke was released on Personal Recognizance.

Location: 7000 Block of Cherry Walk Rd., Quantico, MD
Suspect: 1. Seth A. Wheatley, 18, Sharptown, MD
2. Kevin W. Scott, 19, Laurel, DE
3. Kyle A. Lewis, 19, Millsboro, DE
Narrative: On 5 October 2010 at 4:14 AM, a deputy on patrol in the Sharptown area stopped to check on a suspicious vehicle parked on Cherry Beach Road. While speaking to the sole occupant, Kyle Lewis, the deputy began to question the veracity of the explanation given for being parked on the road at that time of night. The deputy began to look around the area and found two more subjects, Seth Wheatley and Kevin Scott, lying underneath a bush approximately 150 yards from the vehicle the deputy was checking on. In close proximity to these two subjects were two ATV’s in the woods. Upon further investigation, the deputy learned that the ATV’s had been taken from a residence in the 7000 block of Cherry Walk Road and that their owner had not discovered them missing yet. Upon speaking to the owner of the ATV’s the deputy learned that the ATV’s had been stored in an outdoor shed on the property from which they were stolen.
The deputy determined that Wheatley, Scott and Lewis were all responsible for the theft of the ATV’s and placed all three under arrest. The trio was taken to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, all three were detained by the Commissioner in the Detention Center in lieu of $5,000.00 bond each.

Burglary 4th Degree

Date of Incident: 4 October 2010
Location: 700 block of Dennis Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Victoria N. Sontay – Zarot, 34, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 4 October 2010 at 12:36 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported altercation at a residence in the 700 block of Dennis Street. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a female subject, later identified as Victoria Sontay – Zarot; close the front door of the residence. While the deputy was knocking on the door trying to gain admittance to the residence, the deputy observed a male subject exiting the residence through a side window. That subject would be indentified as the Victoria’s boyfriend. Investigation revealed that the boyfriend was in the process of moving out when Victoria grabbed a large knife and began threatening to kill him. When the deputy managed to get Victoria to open the door, the deputy located the knife that Victoria was alleged to have brandished and decided to place her under arrest. Upon attempting to place her into handcuffs, Victoria attempted to pull away from the deputy and resisted his attempts to take her into custody.
The deputy placed Victoria under arrest and transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Victoria in the Detention Center in lieu of $15,000.00 bond.
