Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On October 4, 2010 at approximately 5:28 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the area of the Marshalls Department Store on N. Salisbury Boulevard for the report of three (3) shoplifters fleeing from the store in a vehicle. Upon arrival to the area, the officers located the vehicle and detained the suspects on Trooper’s Way. The suspects were positively identified by employees of Marshalls as the suspects observed taking clothing from the store without making payment. The vehicle was checked and was also found to have clothing that had been taken from Macys, JC Penneys, and K-Mart.

Conspiracy to commit theft (under $ 1000)
DISPOSITION: All released to Central Booking

On October 5, 2010 at approximately 7:55 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of Fitzwater St. and W. Main St. and stopped a vehicle operated by the below listed suspect for traffic violations. The suspect was found to be driving on a suspended driving license. At the request of the officers, a K-9 from the Wicomico Co. Sheriff’s Office responded and gave a positive indication on the vehicle for the presence of controlled dangerous substances. The vehicle was checked and a quantity of suspected marijuana was found on the floor of the vehicle. The suspect was arrested and during a search of the suspect, incident to arrest, a quantity of suspected cocaine was found in the suspect’s clothing.

Possession of marijuana
Possession of cocaine

On October 5, 2010 at approximately 7:57 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Walmart Department Store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of two (2) shoplifters fleeing from the store. Upon arrival the officers located the below listed suspect but were unable to locate the second suspect. The officers were advised by security that employees of the business had observed the suspects take a television from the store without making payment. The television was recovered and returned to the store. The investigation is continuing as to the identity of the second suspect.
