CIRCUIT COURT FOR WICOMICO COUNTY TO HOLD EIGHTH DRUG COURT GRADUATION

The Circuit Court for Wicomico County will hold its 8th Drug Court graduation ceremony this Friday at 3:00 P.M. in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College. 6 individuals will join the previous 24 who have graduated from the program in the 7 previous ceremonies. The first graduation was in May, 2007.

Drug Court is administered by Wicomico County Circuit Court Administrative Judge Kathleen L. Beckstead and Drug Court Coordinator Cherie Meienschein. Funding comes from the Office of Problem Solving Courts. Participants in the Drug Court process include the State’s Attorney’s Office, Wicomico County Health Department and several local law enforcement agencies.

The ceremony’s keynote speaker is Paul B. DeWolfe, Esq., the Public Defender for the State of Maryland.

what a waste of money while deputies are getting furlowed, wicomico county circuit ct pays for criminals to go to a graduation at tax payers expense this money should be used to keep these criminals in jail
