ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Martin O’Malley will welcome students back to school for the 2010/2011 school year at Oxon Hill High School today. He will visit with students from the school and discuss the school’s focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math curricula.
Prince George’s County’s Science and Technology Program is a highly structured, four-year academic program. Of twenty-eight possible credits, a student is required to obtain a minimum of thirteen credits in specific mathematics, pre-engineering technology, research, and science courses. Currently, there are 450 students enrolled in the highly-competitive program at Oxon Hill.
Oxon Hill is currently constructing a new, replacement school. Governor O’Malley committed $7.5 million towards the project in his FY11 budget, part of an overall $151 million school construction investment in Prince George’s County under the O’Malley-Brown Administration, a 67 percent increase from the previous administration.

I was in the first graduating class from Oxon Hill high in 1961.
I moved away from the area in 1979.
It is a very violent and crime infested area now. The PG police patrol with 2 officers at all times. PG county is very corrupt and is better to avoid like the plague. Mmmmm I wonder why?
How many illegals got jobs here? Look around people the so called stimulous is going in large part to hire illegals for the road and bridge work. Look at the Indian river fiasco.
