A man known for protesting the Discovery Channel stormed the network's Maryland headquarters carrying a handgun on Wednesday, taking a "small number" of hostages while appearing to have a bomb strapped to his chest, police said.
The Montgomery County Police Department said Wednesday that they are negotiating with the man who is holding hostages on the ground floor of the building in Silver Spring, Md., a suburb directly north of Washington, D.C.

Who else thinks the cops did real good? They set up and gave him some air time while evaluating the situation, protected the innocent and then with no noticed shot this whackadoo. Good job, darn good job. Everybody goes home safe except the bad guy.

Oh come on, people. Nuts are nuts and they can be on any political persuasion, left or right. The ones you mention are amply balanced by the guy that shot up people in the Holocaust Museum, Timothy McVey, and the folks who want to save unborn babies by killing doctors. And then, of course, there's Hitler, but let's not even go there.
I think this kook places into perspective just how far off the deep end these greenie environazis are.
We look at their claims of teh polar caps melting and the oceans rising and laugh at their sillyness, however these nutcases really believe their pablum and some like this guy, are quite dangerous.
