Wicomico Recreation Kicks-Off Men’s Soccer League This Fall

(Salisbury, MD) Wicomico Recreation, Parks and Tourism is introducing a new league this fall by adding Men’s Soccer to its sports offerings. Registration for teams and individuals is currently open and will be accepted through Friday, September 3 at 5:00pm.

The league is for male players ages 16 and older and will include 11 players per side. Games will take place on a full-sized soccer field at the Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex (711 Naylor Mill Road) on Sunday mornings and league action is slated to begin on Sunday, September 12. The season will include 8 games and a double elimination playoff tournament at the end of the season.

League fees include a $375 team fee + referee fees ($10/team/game). Individual players may also register and be placed on a team of other individuals; the cost is $30 per player ($35 for out-of-County players) + referee fees ($10/team/game).
Players can register at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Box Office, which is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Registration forms can be downloaded in advance at www.wicomicorecandparks.org.

For those interested in playing in a more relaxed environment, Wicomico Recreation is also introducing a Coed Recreational Soccer League this Fall as part of its Adult Social Recreation Program.
