Currently much of the stock trading being done is "high frequency computer trading" according to Dylan Ratigan of MSNBC. The big wall street corporations are manipulating the stocks values on a daily basis.

If I get caught kiting checks, I get arrested. Writing a bad check can also get me arrested. Stealing a loaf of bread from the 7-11 to feed my children because my company closed (just an example, I'm personally okay) could land me in jail. BUT, commit fraud for BILLIONS, destroy the housing market through (purposeful) deceit, manipulate investments that bankrupt entire companies and steal the retiremnent funds of millions of people and what does the government do? Bail you out with MORE taxpayer money (from the same people you stole from already--- and the government is fully aware of THAT), then stand by as you collect BONUSES and multi-million dollar salaries. And THESE are the people elected to SERVE you (the "people"). Angry yet? There are hundreds of other rich people that need your vote in the coming elections. You can be assured - absolutely assured - that THEY will change things for you, the "common man"....LOL!!!
