Steinbrenner Reportedly Dies After Heart Attack


Former New York Yankees owner recently celebrated his 80th birthday

Former New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner has died, according to reports from The Associated Press and the New York Daily News.

Steinbrenner, the former owner known as "The Boss" for his tempestuous style, suffered a massive heart attack at the age of 80.

The Tampa Tribune website said emergency crews went to his home on Monday night.

Alot of people hated him but he did so much for that franchise.

Of all of the quotes that I have read stemming from the death of Steinbrenner, the one that sums it up the best came from New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg who said, "Few people have had a bigger impact on New York over the past four decades than George Steinbrenner. George had a deep love for New York, and his steely determination to succeed combined with his deep respect and appreciate for talent and hard work made him a quintessential New Yorker." RIP Mr. Steinbrenner
