Public Service Announcement From Salisbury Police Department

Suspect entering residences while victims are sleeping

On July 7, 2010
between 1:48am and 3:00am, officers responded to reported burglaries in the 300 block of Washington St and the 300 block of Princeton Ave.

The suspect in both burglaries is described as: Black Male, tall, wearing a white tee shirt, denim shorts and a red ball cap.

The suspect is believed to have entered the occupied residences by an unsecured door or window. In both incidents the suspect entered the bedroom of the victims as they slept.

At one location nothing appeared to have been stolen. At the second location only a pack of cigarettes was removed from the victim's purse.

The Salisbury Police Department wants to remind all citizens to properly secure their residences when they are not at home but especially so during the night time hours when they are asleep. Citizens should also be vigilant for any suspicious persons in their neighborhoods and report all suspicious person(s) /activity to the Police Department immediately.

Everyone should practice their second ammendment right and make sure he does not make this an ongoing problem.
