Gulf Coast Explosive Tsunami

"ON COAST TO COAST AM, RICHARD C. HOAGLAND CITING INSIDER SOURCES IN BP AND IN THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, SAID THAT A GAS BUBBLE APPROXIMATELY 15-20 MILES ACROSS AND 10+ FEET HIGH NEAR BP'S OIL WELL HEAD IN THE GULF OF MEXICO HAD FORMED AND THAT IT MAY CAUSE A MASSIVE EXPLOSION WITHIN WEEKS OR MONTHS.

HE SAID THAT THE PRESSURE AT THE WELL WAS 100,000 PSI AND THAT WHEN THE GAS EXPLODES, IT WOULD BE LIKE A MT. ST. HELENS GOING OFF UNDERWATER THAT WOULD CREATE A HUGE TSUNAMI THAT WOULD TRAVEL AT 400-600 MPH SINKING ALL VESSELS WITHIN MILES, DRIVE THE OIL, HAZARDOUS DISPERSANT'S, AND GASES INLAND WITHIN MINUTES."

Hoagland is a kook. Joe, come on now. You actually listen to this wackjob?

From an LA Times headline:

Obama's speech: There's a pipe spewing a gazillion gobs of oil into the gulf, so let's build more windmills

I never said I agree with any of this. We provide information for everyone to debate. If the guy is a nut, say so, I don't care. I don't know how many times I have to tell everyone, I do not agree with every post we put up. Then again, what if this guys does have an inside source and he's right. Time will tell.

All I meant by my comment(224pm), is that this guy has said a bunch(pretty much his entire career is based on peddling conspiracies) of bunk. Just check his bio on wikipedia, it reads more laughable then a cheap sci-fi movie.

hilarious. nice post. maybe the martians started the oil spill

Even idiots know there are huge amounts of gas in the oil deposits. The well shaft is fractured and the dispersal rate is gaining speed and volume each day. Its very easy to see how a tsunami could be formed carrying tar balls and oil very far inland.

...even if their half right....

436-The dispersal rate isn't increasing daily, it just hasn't(even yet) been accurately reported. Since day one there were scientists saying it was somewhere from 50-100K barrels a day. The media ran with false numbers that both BP and the gov't threw at them. The wells pressure has actually been consistent; around 100,000 psi. It's considered one of the best finds in the western hemisphere...if only not for BP's shortcuts and(as always) severly lax federal regulators.

Let's not pretend we know for sure about anything that has been reported in the media regarding this event. OK. Let's just stop pretending that our media or the corporations who control it (including BP) are telling us the truth.

Thank you
