The FBI reported the District was safer in 2009. Crime has dropped 7.2 percent from 2008 to 2009 in D.C., according to a preliminary crime report.
The Examiner reports that the number of homicides in the District fell from 186 to 143, and the number of rapes dropped from 186 to 150.
These numbers matched the drops in crime in Maryland and Virginia.

I saw where the D.C. cops helped SEIU thugs protest peoples homes in MD.
That is because all of the thugs have come to Salisbury and the Eastern Shore....

More guns in the hands of people and the criminals don't know who probably is the greatest deterent. Now make it easier to get a right to carry permit since the Government allows me to purchase a weapon of my choice. That will lower crime even more.
That's not surprising because they've all come here!
Freedom is on the rise in DC. First, people were given back the right to bare arms and now medical marijuana. Libertarians should be in heaven.
