Our worship of statistics and lack of understanding for them combine to result in this type of mindless social engineering.
Speeding does not shatter lives. Cars colliding with one another shatters lives. Collisions can be caused by numerous factors and speeding may or may not be one of them.
However, criminalizing the safe driving of an automobile at speeds which are still far below the average speed of a Maryland State Police car on an average day is simply mean. In Amerika, we have permitted the elite to write Statutory Laws which bind and imprison our lives. We are then punished by an illegal court system for violating a Statute.
Almost always no one is hurt and no property is damaged. Yet, we pay fines and face imprisonment for violating Statutes.
Our U.S. Constitution allows for Common Law - not Statutory Law. These Statutes are illegal, yet we accept these criminal attacks upon our freedom.
Some of us (like Joe here in this blog) even pay homage to these filthy Jewish Statutes against our Freedoms. He does so unknowingly. He like many others probably have never even considered the idea of punishing a person for something that hasn't happened yet - to be immoral.
Our's is an evil government which employs millions of mindless uneducated mind-controlled dupes into law enforcement. They enforce illegal and immoral Statutory Laws which our Fore Fathers once rebelled against.

I do not have a problem with them pulling over aggressive drivers or drivers going 20 miles over speed limit. What I do have a issue with is the traps they use, or pulling over innocent people because a taillight was out.....any excuse to be in the Power of authority. We need to be able to ticket half these officers when they go flying by without lights on well over the speed limit to find them pulling into get something to eat. They need to start practicing what they enforce.

But I would be hesitant to say she was a tin foil hat wearer. Sounds more like an educated person who is upset over traffic fines.
I agree with one point in particular. The cops can drive 80 mph all day long but we must drive 55? What is that about? They aren't responding to emergencies. They just cruise up and down the road as fast as they want.
My car is well equipped and handles great. It is very safe at 80 miles per hour on most roads around here. On curvy winding mountainous roads maybe not, but here, my car will handle 80 mph easily.

Does that 55 mph speed limit include motorcycles on the Rt.13 bypass? SOME of them go a whole lot faster than 55. Any MSP can sit in back of my house (between Rt. 50 & Snow Hill Rd.)& empty his ticket book within an hour.

As someone who may or may not be an 18 year veteran of law enforcement, I can tell you that the average speed of citizens on US 50 is well over 55 mph. If you are conducting moving traffic enforcement (not just speed, but all traffic laws), and travel below that - you will never see anything more than a long lline of cars behind you. In order to observe violators, you have to catch up to them first. Don't tell me how to do my job, and I won't try to direct yours!
What I want to know is this: is it true that "statutory law" is not constitutional?

I am a lady, but that's OK. I would still remain anonymous because I am stating opinions which are contrary to the lovely government mind set in this country. I have no desire to go somewhere else to live. I want my free country back. I don't want to live in a police state. But I certainly don't want to live under U.S. Military occupation elsewhere because that would be much much worse.
I have noticed in the past that Doug usually makes very intelligent observations. The lack of understanding for the need to remain anonymous simply means Doug is naive.
Our country has been hijacked by foreign financial interests who wish to tax us into poverty and set up a police/military/prison/industrial complex. The country we have now is not the one I grew up pledging my allegiance.

One thing is sure. The police (like the military) don't think about their jobs. They just do what they are told. So if statutory laws are unconstitutional then the cops are last ones to know it. Ditto the soldiers. If their orders are illegal over in Iraq or Afhanistan then they are the last ones who will know it.
We need better civics and government education in school. We need to read our constitution so we don't have to ask these things on a blog. We should all know that statutory laws are unconstitutional without having to ask an Eastern Shore Resident.

The United States Constitution establishes 3 types of jurisdiction: Admiralty Law, Contract Law, and Common Law.
Currently our court systems are operated under military jurisdiction. That is symbolized by the gold fringe on the U.S. Flag.
All of our laws are Statutes issued by our Congress and signed by our Executive whether at state level or federal level. And yes, they are all totally unconstitutional.
There currently are no courts in America which operate under a Common Law jurisdiction. Common Law is very simple and the basis is property protection. If a person damages or steals another person's property then a crime has occurred. Charges should be brought and a jury of peers will decide the outcome of the arguments. Our bodies are considered our property under Common Law.

Common law means that the court ruled one way or another on a certain issue. It is also known as the law of precedent

I hope they do catch the speeders. I am sick of aggressive and negligent drivers! Kudos to the police! I'm sure they also catch many a drunk or drugged driver in the process or make drug busts. Also, they can crack down on the idiots who don't wear seatbelts or properly restrain their children in car seats while they are at it too...multi-tasking! This helps saves lives and that is what the police are getting paid to do. If they were just sitting on the side of the road eating donuts you would be complaining about it!

the troopers get to operate computers while driving that require as much attention as a cell phone text...was that the case both times on the Vienna Bridge?...I am sure that wasn't speculated in any report

Where is all the uproar about the fireman killing someone due to gross negligence? Everyone complains about the police doing their job legally in an emergency vehicle. But when an overzealous fireman in his personal vehicle with a little red light drives down the road in an aggressive manner to an incident where there are plenty of firemen all ready on scene and kills someone, no one says a word. Reckless firemen have caused more problems in their personal cars driving like idiots to incidents where they just stand around and do nothing just so they get credit for responding to a call. The police are criticized day in and day out because they have the uneasy task of policing the community in which they live. So stop criticizing and get out there and improve your community. Follow the laws that are created to protect you and keep you safe. Get your priorities straight people.
Emergency, police and fire, workers have a job to do. They do it very well. The people who complain the most are the ones who screw up the most. The best way to avoid the police stopping you is to obey the law, the law that the people elected senators and congressmen to create on their behalf.
