Quick hide the liberals !
I am very disappointed you fell for this crap Mr Ireton.
Is this a late April Fools Day joke?
I've been to 4 of those other cities and I can tell you Salisbury is going to have a tough battle when it comes to crime, quality of life, and community spirit.
Not saying I understand the selection criteria, but just read Joe's blog everyday and you can see the disharmony in this community.
Sby and All American City???
LOL... April Fools has already past.
Sounds like a A FREE trip for Jimmy Boy, Pick,Oland,&Lore' L. Chambers!
Seems like no one wants to live in an all American environment anymore .
People have lost their moral compass.
This is just as absurd as it was a year ago.
No doubt Ireton will spend City funds, just like Barrie did then, to "promote" Salisbury for a totally meaningless award.
If crime rate is one of the factors, Salisbury will get the highest score.
A city without a fire chief for almost a year!!
Clearly this award must be a joke and a money maker for the organization that created it.
Seriously - Salisbury an All American city...seriously??!!??

Isn't that about as long as Ireton has been in office?
Why does it take the Mayor over a year to appoint a Fire Chief? What in the world is he waiting for? There is a qualified individual for the position and the mayor is dragging his feet? WHY! In the mean time the city burns and moral continues to sink! Mayor Ireton do the right thing and make the appointment. It is not an "election" it is an appointment made by the mayor.
it's like those "who's who" in american business advertisements we all get in the mail every year. you pay a fee and they put your name in a book, and then you can brag about the honor. lame and meaningless!
YEAH! I've won Publisher's clearing house sweepstakes, too.
