Closing Arguements Today For SU Professor Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Student

Closing arguments are going on right now in a case where a SU Professor is accused of sexually assaulting a student. However, this isn't just any female student. This student is blind.

We'll do our best to deliver the courts decision some time later today.

Huh? So how is he innocent on all counts:

From yesterday DT:

When officers met with Shakur on Nov. 10, the professor initially denied inappropriately touching the student, but later changed his account of what happened that day, according to a Salisbury University police report.

"A hug with one hand on one breast may have happened," Shakur said during an interview with Salisbury University Police.

Shakur also admitted to making a reference to a male actor's genitals during the interview.

Once again the D T has made someone guilty without knowing all the facts.

Seems to me a classic case of "he said / she said."

Also makes one wonder about the ethical behavior of the campus cops.

Dr. Shakur never said "A hug with one hand on one breast may have happened." He was intentionally misquoted by a campus cop to fabricate a basis for an arrest.

The evidence clearly shows that this was a false charge; it's fortunate that justice prevailed, and an innocent person won't have to go to prison.
