Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 26 March 2010
Location: 300 block of Glen Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Christina S. Williams, 29, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 26 March 2010 at 7:46 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded for a reported altercation that had been occurring inside a residence in the 300 block of Glen Avenue. Upon arrival, the deputy met with a male subject who advised that he had been involved in a verbal altercation with Christina Williams over his cell phone that turned physical. The male victim advised that Williams punched him and slapped him on both sides of his face. The deputy observed signs of injury that corroborated his account.

The investigating deputy placed Williams under arrest for the assault and transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Williams in the Detention Center in lieu of $15,000.00 bond.

Incident: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Date of Incident: 26 March 2010
Location: Snow Hill Road at Toadvine Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Lindsey Nicole Sutphin, 24, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 26 March 2010 at 10:09 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle operated by Lindsey Sutphin for speeding on Snow Hill Road. Upon stopping the vehicle and making contact with Sutphin, the deputy detected an odor of alcohol emanating from within the vehicle. The deputy administered road side field sobriety tests and made a determination that Sutphin was under the influence of alcohol.

Sutphin was placed under arrest and transported to the Maryland State Police barrack where a breath sample was obtained. The deputy released Sutphin upon her signing citations and agreeing to come to court when notified.

Incident: Possession of Marijuana
Date of Incident: 28 March 2010
Location: Ocean Highway at Connelly Mill Road, Delmar, MD
Suspect: Nathan J. Hargett, 32, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 28 March 2010 at 9:16 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle operated by Nathan Hargett for erratic driving. Upon making contact with Hargett, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana emanating from him. The deputy searched Hargett and located a baggie of marijuana in his sock.

The deputy placed Hargett under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of a District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Hargett on Personal Recognizance.

Incident: Possession of Crack Cocaine

Location: Salisbury Blvd. at Hampshire Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Virginia M. Kolper, 44, Delmar, MD

Narrative: On 28 March 2010 at 10:30 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle operated by Virginia Kolper for speeding on S/B Salisbury Blvd. While the deputy was completing his paperwork from the stop, he observed that Kolper was moving furtively around the interior of her vehicle. Based on his observation, the deputy requested that a WCSO drug K9 team respond and scan the vehicle for the presence of the odor of illegal drugs, during which the K9 alerted positively to that odor. Based on the alert, the deputy searched the vehicle and located a glass smoking tube that still contained the remnant of what the deputy recognized as crack cocaine.

The deputy placed Kolper under arrest and transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released her on Personal Recognizance.
