Northern Middle School, Calvert County

Snow Hill Middle School, Worcester County

WHAT: Six Maryland schools that are recipients of the State’s Blue Ribbon School Award will be honored by the Lt. Governor, State Superintendent of Schools, and other education leaders, during a state dinner gala. Following the evening gala, the winning principals will be recognized on the floor of the House and Senate.

The Blue Ribbon Schools Program is a national and state program that recognizes and honors schools that exhibit high performance and/or significant improvement in reading and mathematics achievement as measured by Maryland’s assessments. The Maryland Blue Ribbon Schools go on to compete for National Blue Ribbon Awards, which are announced by the U.S. Department of Education in September 2010.

Yeah!!! Go Snow Hill!!! Both my kids went through Snow Hill Middle, I am proud to say. Great Administrators and Awesome Teachers!
