Just Look At All The Good You're Doing

The images above were taken this very morning. With exactly two weeks to go until Christmas Day, the Salvation Army has been very busy making purchases, wrapping gifts, buying food and preparing for the big day when thousands upon thousands of Families will gather to come up and receive their unconditional gifts from the Salvation Army.

By ringing the bell you can help continue to fill this auditorium and take care of that many more Families. So we've had a setback, that's OK. However, every one of those empty slots would have been filled by me and now I need YOU. I need volunteers to step up and show this group of people we just won't stand for it. The best revenge is to live a good life.

I'd like to add, please don't blame WalMart or Sam's Club. Each and every one of you should know, Sam's Club local and Corporate LOVED the Show we produced there. The mere fact that we were representing so many charitable organizations in that show clearly told them the kind of people we are and what we are trying to offer within our community. The fact is, they were hit with numerous calls from a select group of people and in order to stop the charade and games, they made the same choice I would have in a corporate decision.

So do us all a favor. Please contact the Salvation Army and offer your time. Do not let these low life individuals take away from so many needy Families. They have clearly hurt the Salvation Army and shame on them. The leader of their pack collects disability when he can clearly go to work every day. He chooses to stay at home and collect from each and every one of you. It just amazes me that he would do such a thing but it is who he is.

I also hope Chief Webster, Mike Dunn, Lynn Cathcart, Gary Comegys, Louise Smith and Barrie Tilghman are proud of their voice piece and what they're capable of. Show them up Folks and get out there and ring that bell.

Contact the Salvation Army at 410-749-RING (7464).

"By their fruits ye shall know them. . .".

One has only to look at these photos to see the fruit your efforts - along with all those who give their time and the people who give their money - has helped bear.

One has only to look at the rotten fruit Mr. Taylor's efforts bear to know that he IS a fruit.

Well said, Joe.

Chief, Dunn, Cathcart, Bubba, Louise, Barrie and others of your ilk: We all know how badly you hate Joe and, while that's your right, I do wonder what you've got against the adults and children who benefit from the good the SA does them.

Jonathan Taylor is FAR from being the only Grinch in this latest fiasco. I'm not naive enough to believe that the above named Grinches weren't among those who made calls to Sam's and WM. What small minds you all have! Far worse, what a lack of character you have. Of course, that was evident long ago when we saw what all of you did to this city.

Have any of the above mentioned people ever gone to bed hungry as a child? I have. Have any of them ever awakened on Christmas morning to find a shoe box with some hard candy and a few oranges to be the extent of their Christmas when they really needed clothes, but their parents couldn't afford it? I have. Have ANY of them ever been in a position to need the help of an organization like the SA? I VERY seriously doubt a one of them has.

So I wish each of them a very blessed Christmas and prosperous New Year. And as they celebrate the holidays with their loved ones, I hope the thought of every penny their latest shenanigans may have cost the SA - and the people who need their assistance - comes back to convict their consciences...that is IF they have one.

Just remember: As you sew, so shall you reap. That's what Jesus said. Us poor folks just refer to it as Karma.

12:51, that's okay. Not to worry. Bubba Comegys is going to find out what the majority of the public thinks of him come next election day.

I don't doubt he's involved in all of this either. God knows he has enough free time to. He sure doesn't do anything for our city, except jump up and down and whine at the Mayor.

I agree with 12:52. So who cares who you like and who you dont, this is for people that need help and its sad and pathetic that these people let a vendetta cloud their judgement. Im sure these idiots have been sitting around congratulating themselves on a job well done and I doube they have even thought of the impact it will have on the needy. I have not been involved in any of this personally but I have now decided that my family will not patronize any of the named parties' businesses. I just dont know what is wrong with people. The world is being taken over by wackjobs with an agenda. Well, time to go sign up to ring the bell. As far as Im concerned, they only made me realize that I should have chipped in and volunteered a long time ago. Oh and Jonathan Taylor, I went to elementary school with you and I always felt sorry for you but now I see you are a loser and a jerk and probably deserved all the heckling after all.

Whats wrong with you people. Money needs to be going to the food bank, to families who can not afford to pay there heating bill. It needs to go to healthcare for these kids. not to bikes and toys. I'm sorry these kids don't have these things, but there are other priorites first. If you really want to support something support food drives and national health care reform.

Anonymous said...

@1:21 you are right, the food banks do need help. I suggest you contribute where your heart tells you to and let those of us that make charitable contributions give to where our heart leads us. Sound good?

and now that Joe isnt donating time will and of the other worthless ones donate time I dont think they will because its beneath them Remember what the Grinch stands for in the movie and in person

1:21...in addition to giving the kids Christmas presents, the SA also provides Christmas dinner. Those empty boxes that are lined up will be full of food. I know this because my son's afterschool program will be filling the boxes tomorrow. The Boy Scouts will be there too, as well as others.

There are 2 shifts for organizing at SA tomorrow, 9-12 & 1-4. More volunteers are probably needed, if anybody would like to go help out.

You politicians are so selfish. This is a personal vendetta. You are not even thinking about the kids that benefit from Joe's actions.

You all are dried up old A$$e$.

1:21 . .AMEN!

1:21..you are an idiot...let kids be kids. They deserve to have some toys. This time of the year isnt about business and politics. Have some compassion. Lets worry about those things the other 11 months of the year. A smile is worth everything and does wonders for your health..try it sometime.

Joe, you are a much better person than Johnaton Taylor. He doesn't care who he hurts in his vendetta against you.

He and his political puppeteers are disgusting wastes of human flesh.

If those that Jonathan Taylor claim are his friends - Barrie Tilghman, Mike Dunn, Gary Comeyges, etc. HAVE ANY CHARACTER AT ALL they should denounce what he is doing. I know that Mike Dunn is better than this.

This is beyond despicable. The Salvation Army is a Christian organization. Christmas is supposed to be about the birth of Christ. What is Jonathan Taylor doing that shows any Christian motives? He is full of hate and venom.

Whether you agree or disagree with Joe, love him or hate him - that is not the issue here.

Joe has given his time, money and resources to support the kettles.
What have Taylor and Company done other than try to tear it down?

I would be EMBARRASSED if Taylor named me as one of his friends.

People will be watching to see how Taylor's "friends" respond now. Gary, Louise, Shanie, Mike, Barrie, Al - are you ringing a bell - or are you as petty and small-minded as your buddy the Grinch?

Joe,

Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures. THIS is what it is all about. I hope everyone will continue to support the kettles more than ever....I understand this is just a part of the gifts and food boxes that the Salvation Army is giving away.

I know they have said that requests are up 20+% this year so I am sure they need every penny they can get.

JOE'S READERS - please step up and fill in all open time slots...If we each took an hour or two, they would be filled in no time.

I know that there are more sites this year because they ran out of openings last year. Let's fill 'em up and show the true meaning of Christmas.

Maybe Taylor's buddy Muir Boda can teach him about Christian values.

If I were Boda, I'd be hiding from being seen with Taylor every chance I get.

To Taylor and his gang...what would Jesus do?

Not what you have done, guaranteed.

May God forgive you.

I donate to a private food bank. I stopped donating to the MD food bank years ago when I found out they SELL their food to other smaller food banks.

So let me see if I can get this right. If Joe is not there filling in ringing the bell they either have to hire someone or the kettle is removed. Either way they lose the much needed money. I hope you *censored* are proud of yourself. You have hurt a worthy cause because you are just an *censored*.
