Loved it and can't wait for your next one! One thing though, I TOTALLY support the Lungs for Chuck campaigne and was glad that they promoted it but the comercials sorta chopped your part into bits.

Good show, zoomed out a little too far, but a good intro of SBYNews roots. It would be interesting to see aerial photos of the sludge pond today compared to back then. Also any MDE reports... they do still walk the pond area and monitor it, don't they?
Nice work, Joe, keep it going!

I didn't see it on any comcast channel i searched and never found it at 10:30.Will you have a copy on the net?

Overall, not bad. Need better lighting (some up-light) from a low angle. Content was OK for a starting point. Ads need to be better controlled in placement.

Ya done good, Joe!

Not bad...Like with everything else Joe does, there is an agenda(but that's expected)other than just reporting the lateset news & events.
Refine the editing process(going to commercial in the middle of a sentence)and liven it up a bit and you might have something here that could be interesting to watch.
The one thing I like about Joe(even though I don't usually give the right wing view point the time of day) is that there is nothing hidden in his opinions & view points...Straight shooter all the way.If he doesn't like something going on he and everyone else knows it, but nothing wrong with that, If more people were like that this might be a better world. Too many people afraid to speak thier feelings and beliefs.
Thanks Joe & Congrats

Along with this blog, I will tune in weekly to see the "real" news around Salisbury. It has been needed for a long time. I appreciate your intestinal fortitude in tackling some of the issues that others won't. More people aronnd Salisbury should be made aware of some of the chicanery that goes on around here. Joe's delivery was very professional and didn't appear opinionated at all. As Joe Friday used to say. "Just the facts, mam".

Sorry, but we can't get it. Cable isn't available to us. Hope it went well.

Oh Boy, are Billy Burke, Stephanie Burke, JT & JR pissed, OR WHAT!

We've had to reject quite a few of their comments here but they are what we might say, GREEN with envy!

I have to agree with everyone, there needs to be more of a variety of commercials, we'll fix that for this week. The one image that came up before the commercials has to GO!

It was a first run but all in all I received 112 text messages during and soon after the show. Look, I pay for all those messages as I'm too cheap to pay for unlimited. Just kidding, thanks for all the kind words Folks!

My hope is that many became educated as to what went on in the past, why I was sued by the Mayor and Police Chief and ultimately the fact that Salisbury News is making a difference in our communities.

We aree doing our best to convert the disk of the show that was provided to us and it's really not going very well. We may have to look at other avenues this week for the on line version.

Anyhow, onward and upward, as they say.

Oh, BB, SB, JR & JT, (all authors on the green with envy site) save the fag jokes and curse words for your own site. They won't get published here. Woo, Hoo, Wee Hoo!

I knew Billy and Stephanie was behind that other crappy site. Their style of writing can't be imitated and is very recognizable. Billy is scared of you Joe. That's why he hides behind other names.

I didn't get to see it. When will it be shown again? What about the net version?

I told you Glenn Beck has some competition. Wayne

Joe, I had never seen you or heard you speak. I was very surprised & impressed. You were calm & delivered the information with clarity. My husband & I watched together & will definitely be tuning in next week. I was making the inevitable "Wayne's World" jokes right before you came on, but I quickly shut up.

I am not a native, so didn't know the background of Salisbury News. Thanks for not assuming we all knew it's origins. I was so glad to finally have some things cleared up. It all makes sense now.

Most of our MSM puts a spin on everything. After your show, we both said it was reassuring to have an alternative to the usual blah-blah. So many important topics to be addressed (the influx of gangs for one)! That half hour went very quicky.

Thank you, Joe.

Thank You JB, that was very kind.

Have you done a follow up with the zoo or wastewater plant? How are things now?

joealbero said...

anonymous 1:50, $84,000,000.00 later the WWTP doesn't work. Considering they have now fenced in the entire WWTP, there's no evidence everything has in fact been cleaned up but after the MDE went in we're confident they forced change. This went on for more than 20+ years illegally and the City was fined tens of thousands of dollars for NOT being compliant, the Mayor had lied.

As for the Zoo, Jim Rapp was forced out and now works elsewhere, thank God. Joel Hamilton is doing a much better job and we're confident things are better. However, NO ONE is policing the Zoo or keeping tabs on how many animals continue to die there. My guess is considering things are pretty much the same in the husbandry department, animals are still dying of avian tb.

It is NOT my job to spend year after year exposing these kinds of things without the community speaking up and fighting for change. However, I will say, most everyone I went after has been fired, resigned and or are no longer with the City.

Salisbury News won.

Gaurdian Angels are watching over you. Good Job.

Joe, loved it will watch every week!
You need to do a story BOE and violence in our schools. Whats being done about it. How things can run more efficiently. If you can break through that your show will probably go National.

Joe, that's slug, not piles of human feces BTW. All human waste includsing toilet paper are in liquid form by the time the reach the waste water plant.

Joe, since I see four chairs behind you, I would welcome a debate between Audrey Scott and myself to be the next Maryland Republican Chairman. Maybe you could also invite current-Chairman Jim Pelura and Maryland Democratic Chairman Susan Turnbull, just to keep things in perspective.

You have my contact information, but hurry, because the GOP election is next Saturday. No entity anywhere has offered to host a debate between us. You're the type of news show that would cover this type of important contest, so go for it! Thursday is good for me!

I defintely appreciate everything sbynews does to expose the truths in our community! Keep up the good work!

Great job, Joe. I think you are on to something. Keep it up!

Joe, you are a natural in front of the camera. The show held my interest the whole time. There were issues with lighting and editing, but I'm sure you are aware and show is a work-in-progress. To be honest, the "homemade" quality of the video made it more appealing to me. I hope you have local guests with discussion and interviews. I think you should end the show each week by saying goodbye to the audience and lighting up a cigar as the camera slowly pans out.

Anonymous said...

Joe, you should check into the zoo again. I have heard things.

Joe, this first one was very interesting. Anxious to see the next edition. Thanks for putting it on the blog for those of us that cannot receive it on television. I lived in Salisbury for 45 years and loved it even tho it was not utopia (but what is). But now with the crime, the ugly politics, I do not miss it one iota. Do not always agree with you and think that at times you are a bit of a bully but by and large you are someone that is needed to make sure that info is disseminated to the masses. And the ability to do in instantaneously gives you a distinct advantage over msm. I cannot even begin to imagine the hours that you spend with this blog but I wish to tell you that I appreciate it every morning and sometimes thru out the day. Keep up the good work. Keep'm on their toes. jackkcharl@aol.com in Sunny and warm Florida

I'm a little confused, where is the full version?

Anonymous said...

The content is good! Can't wait for another, but you should make some changes.

For instance:

That can't really be your desk. Honestly it is kind of awkward in that corner. Also, a closer camera angle would be better. Those commercials need to be timed better and edited more smoothly. Lastly you need better sound. The sound was really bad. It sounds like they are using a directional mic, perhaps you can try a clip-on or a desk-mic?

Other than that it is a good, honest show and i hope it sets a precedent that others will follow. I can't wait for the next one, and I look forward to the show evolving and a more sophisticated format (guests, slideshows/animations/video).

Im sure you guys will work on improving the lighting, sound commercial editing as well. needs some polish, but very good job for your first go. SBYnews wasn't as good as it is now from day one, Im sure, so I'll keep watching if you keep doing them. one thing I don't think anyone else mentioned- in the opening credits, you used "your watching", it should read "You're watching", I think.

Anonymous said...

I'm ready for more. Please zoom in a bit.

Anonymous said...

How about a segment on the WWTP debacle -- with Ireton as a guest to answer real questions for a change!!!

Anonymous said...

A pretty good start for the first show. Though the content was old, I think it's important to let those know who may not have visited the blog what the top stories have been.

The sound needs some work in my opinion, it sounded like it was done with a $10 computer microphone from Walmart unfortunately

Need to zoom in on you instead of the room, I could have sworn it was filmed in a doctors waiting room with a break room table pulled into it for the computer to sit on.

Not bad for a first show though, and I look forward to the next one.

Now you need a sidekick or a bandleader to round out the set!LOLI will catch it on the web

Great show but the sound could be a little better. It was hard to hear you all of the time. Smaller room maybe would help. It was good to here the history of past events.
