Salisbury News Was Right, MSM Now Admits They Were Wrong

On November 5th, Salisbury News broke THIS STORY about the fights that broke out at Bennett High School this week. We stated right off the bat that these fights were Gang Related yet the MSM very clearly stated there was no evidence that any Gangs were involved.

Well, yesterday and today they all started to change their tune. It was almost as if the MSM was trying to challenge Salisbury News the first day we broke the story in an attempt to inform parents they had nothing to worry about.

They were wrong and now it's all over the news that parents do have something to worry about. The days of covering up these kind of facts are over. Salisbury News has changed the scope of information and has such a large audience any more, the MSM is now pressured into telling the truth. This is a really good thing Folks because now you're not left in the dark, especially while you send your children into a public school.

The WBOE must now face criticism, unlike years past. Our goal was to change the kind of news you were receiving and quite frankly, it's working. Don't miss our TV Show at 10:30 AM on Channel 9, (Comcast) of Channel 99, (Mediacom) TODAY where we touch on this exact situation.

Gangs are all through the schools in Salisbury and even in the elementary schools. Believe it, I see it firsthand! I have a friend whose kids went to Bennett and his wife often volunteered in the school. It got so bad, she was scared to go into the school anymore, so they moved to Worcester County and love it. Another in the police field knew the truth and took his kids out of Wicomico Schools as well to Delaware. This was was a couple of years ago when Tilghman and Webster claimed gangs wern't here. Now it is worse than ever and only strong action by the police and schools will make a difference. Dr. Frederickson claimed at the county kick-off meeting that he wasn't putting upwith unsafe schools. Well now is the time to put up or shut up Dr. Frederickson. Parents and students need to keep us informed as to whether these nine gang members return to school, or are expelled. Then we will see if the good Dr. is serious about safe schools. It is going to take our leaders to grow a big pair in order to make schools safe again. They must stand up to the special interest groups and the State Dept. of Education.

Public schools are a mess....plain and simple. no matter what county they are in. Fights still occur in "Blue Ribbon Schools".

It's a shame that we have to face this problem in our schools.

As far as the MSM not reporting; maybe they wanted to get the facts first THEN report. Not spout something sensational to get attention then hope that the facts follow. I would rather hear the correct story late than hear B.S. early. Even if you happen to be right in this case.

It's only going to get worse because the liberal and politically correct system does more to protect the criminals than it does to protect the public.

People need to understand there is a GANG PROBLEM! It's here in Salisbury and across the country. I worked at ECI for 5 years and I know upfront about all the gangs. You can spot some gangs as they like to "show their colors." Bloods like to wear red and Crips like to wear blue. They do this in all kinds of ways. Mostly they like to have their color in form of bandana and have it laying out of their back pocket. But it can be anything that shows who they belong too. Even a bracelet!

Kids in schools have it so much harder than I did as a kid. It's a shame it has come to this!

Most kids join gangs because they don't get the "attention" & "love" that they desire. Once joining the gang, they feel like they are somebody. And yes, it is mainly involving the poor families. We need to save the youth from going down this road! How is the question? I know there is a program called Kids of Honor that help youth by guiding them in the right direction and helping them to achieve in school.

Schools need to get tougher on such behavior at school! There's no need for such violence when we send our kids off to learn.

WBOE-YOU NEED METAL DETECTORS IN THE SCHOOL! GET THEM BEFORE SOMETHING HAPPENS!! ALSO SHUTDOWN THE SCHOOL'S EXITS. MAKE THE KIDS COME IN ONE WAY AND PASS THE DETECTOR! MAKE THEM LEAVE THE SAME WAY TOO! PRINCE STREET DOES THIS, WHY CAN'T ALL THE SCHOOLS? IT MAY BE AN INCONVENIENCE TO SOME BUT THE SAFETY OF KIDS AND TEACHERS ARE AT STAKE.
