President Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace prize for his efforts to strengthen international diplomacy. On September 30, 1938 Neville Chamberlain, the Prime Minister of England, returned from his meeting, with Hitler, in Munich. He proudly proclaimed, "peace in our time." He did not win the Nobel prize in 1939, in fact no one did, though Hitler was nominated. Less than a year later, Hitler attacked Poland and World War II started.
In a letter to his sister Chamberlain wrote on May 28, 1939, Chamberlain said, "No doubt the Jews aren't a lovable people, I don't care about them myself, but that is not sufficient to explain the pogrom." Are our current overtures to Iran any different?
Clement Attlee commented on February 22, 1939, "Mr. Chamberlain views everything from the wrong end of a municipal drain pipe." Remarkably, in only eleven days in office, Obama proved himself superior to either Chamberlain or Hitler. Quite an accomplishment.

So it is patriotic to root for America to loose the Olympics, AND it is patriotic to be upset because an American won a Nobel Prize.
It must be really confusing being a Republican these days.

I honestly do no see how you can compare the intentional extermination of millions of Jews and the military take over of other countries to our President. I do not see the President invading other countires to further his or our political views or participating in ethnic cleansing on any level.People who continue to compare President Obama to Hitler really need to open a history book and review the things that Adolph Hitler did. Any statement comparing the President, or for that matter, any American President to Hitler are just asinine. You really owe your readers and apology and obtain a better understanding of the issues. You can do better than this.

Some poor teacher had these folks as students. Some even managed to become teachers themselves. That is a sad commentary on the current state of education in this country. Perhaps Joe can provide a method to convert text to comic books to help them understand.

jefferson, Thinking is very good. I make no claim to devine wisdom. What I hope to accomplish is to get people to think beyond party labels. I think we would be surprised on how many things we, as Americans, can come to agree on. I don't believe most people are all liberal or all conservative depending on the issue. Too often we dismiss the thinking of others because it is more convenient to use a label.

My grandfather was in a concentration camp because of Hitler and you using this as a comparison sickens me as it downplays all the sacrifices and hardships that were made by so many. You should be ashamed of yourself and at the very least take a long look at yourself as Im sure you a comparable to Hitler yourself.
Dear 8:18 PM, My uncle died on Omaha beach, most of my wife's family were exterminated in the camps, all due to appeasement, which is what I compared Obama to.
If I were to name someone comparable to Obama, it would be Karl Marx. It sounds like he would also be your hero. When some Muslim extremist comes to behead you, will Obama protect you, I think not.
