Annapolis, MD – The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Barack Obama based on his vision of "Hope and Change".
Dr. Jim Pelura, Chairman of the MDGOP, issued the following statement: "It is unfortunate that the Nobel Committee has diminished the prestige of this award by using a campaign slogan as the main criteria for this award."
President Obama can be credited with a catchy phrase but not with any significant program or action to further world peace."

I think the Nobel Prize is an honor for the President, he was very gracious about accepting it.
