I would wager that you guys considered this a highly esteemed award, up until Obama one. This really shows how far your ideaological hatred runs.
Was talking with my parents about this last night, and my Mom had a really good point. Not only has Obama inherited a lot of really bad crap (most of which we have no clue about)he certainly didn't ask for this award. What's he gonna do? Say "no, thanks, WTF did I do to deserve this??"
Probably not.

He had been in office all of 11 days by the nomination deadline, so what had he done yet to be deserving of anything (good or bad) by then? Neither ideology, skin color, party affiliation or any of that has anything to do with it - it is/was the lack of merit at the point at which nominations were closed. Talk about ideological hatred - Ronald Reagan or George Bush could have cured the common cold, cancer, AIDS, and world hunger all before lunchtime and you would have still found something to bitch about. And yes, I do realize that neither Reagan or Bush did any of these things. As for considering this an esteemed award, that ended last year with Gore. What he got it for had nothing to do with peace and should not have even been considered for that award. Agree with his work & positions or not (and I don't), the proper place for Gore and his work to have been considered would have been in one of the scientific categories.
It is so sad that the Obama worshippers really can not see that they too will be affected by a weak America and an impoverished America. His detrimental policies will harm everyone. Holding up their chunk of Kryptonite will not surround them with immunity.
Read and learn the harm this president is creating.
I dare say that you are probably not a mega millionaire capable of building your own hospital abroad to attend to your medical needs.
You,too, will suffer with denial delays under Obama care.

The voting for the medal happened when Obama was in office 10 days. He hadn't even picked the NBA slots yet.

Obama took an economy that was under attack by George Soros and his communist buddies around the world, and with the help of the Democrat congress took the bad situation and made it into a disaster.
Look at the 900 Billion dollar stimulus package that has NO stimulus but does have lots of payoffs to unions and "Friends of Obama"
Where are the jobs? Where is the stimulus?
Obama is a Marxist A$$hole surrounded by Chicago gansters.
