Some of the items discussed and/or acted upon were the Property Maintenance Ordinance, the new police department building, Board of Elections vacancy, windmill moratorium and speed monitoring cameras. Attention Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission members, and all other interested parties. The public hearing which was tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at the last Planning Commission meeting held on October 6, 2009, has been postponed as the applicant, David Brown, has decided to delay his request to pursue a “Special Exception” to operate a night club at 703 South Camden Avenue.

Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Mike Wilson on October 18, Officer Nick McLeod on October 19 and Eric Wilson on October 23. May you all have many more.

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY

In 1912, New York Giants outfielder Fred Snodgrass drops an easy pop-up in the 10th inning of the tie breaking eighth game of the World Series against the Boston Red Sox. His error led to a two run Boston rally and cost the Giants the championship. The reason they played eight games is that game number 2 ended in a 6-6 tie when it became too dark to play.

I didn't see him, but I saw a couple of Deputies from the WCSO. Once again the WCSO makes it's presence seen. Good job guys!
