When Asked Where the Constitution Authorizes Congress to Order Americans To Buy Health Insurance, Pelosi Says: 'Are You Serious?'
When CNSNews.com asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday where the Constitution authorized Congress to order Americans to buy health insurance--a mandate included in both the House and Senate versions of the health care bill--Pelosi dismissed the question by saying: “Are you serious? Are you serious?”
Pelosi then shook her head before taking a question from another reporter. Her press spokesman, Nadeam Elshami, then told CNSNews.com that asking the speaker of the House where the Constitution authorized Congress to mandated that individual Americans buy health insurance as not a "serious question."
Pelosi's press secretary later responded to written follow-up questions from CNSNews.com by emailing CNSNews.com a press release on the “Constitutionality of Health Insurance Reform,” that argues that Congress derives the authority to mandate that people purchase health insurance from its constitutional power to regulate interstate commerce.

It is time for the people to say enough is enough. Time to vote or throw out all those idiots in Washington. Start from the top and work our way down. Before "We the People" no longer means anything. Oh wait, it already doesnt. The government does what ever it wants and is totally corrupted.

THAT's the problem in Washington, most of the stuff they vote on does not affect them, or their families directly so they pass garbage and not take care of the real issues correctly.

Pelosi is a screaming example of how a complete idiot can get elected to the Senate.
Pelosi's complete lack of understanding about the constitution really explains why this country is in the shape it is in.

There is no Constitutional authority for taking one person's money and giving it to someone else.

When FDR passed SS it was voluntary and only 1% of income and not taxed. Subsequent administrations saw it as a way to enslave old folks. They then saw it as a way to take back the money thru taxes.
Medicare and Medicaid is not much different,nor will Obamacare be. By claiming to helping a poor minority they have created a society dependent on the government. We have all become slaves to Washington.
"Are you serious?" is Pelosi-speak for "Constitution? We don't need no stinkn' constitution!"
