The latest telephone poll taken by the California Governor's office asked whether
people who live in California think illegal immigration is a serious Problem:
19% responded, "Yes, it is a serious problem."
81% responded, "No es una problema seriosa."

Despite the fact that the word "problema" ends in the letter "A", "problema" is a masculine noun in Spanish. Most words in Spanish that end in "ma, pa or ta" have Greek origins and are masculine. The word for serious in Spanish is "serio" not serioso/a. Therefore the correct sentence would have been: No es un problema serio.
