When Democrats gather to celebrate Jefferson and Jackson as the founders of their party one can hope they would direct attention to these quotes. - As the issues of today are debated all members of congress, the Republican party, the media and the public at large, would do well to heed these words.
Jefferson = "Were we directed from Washington when to sow and when to reap, we should soon want bread."
Jackson = "I am one of those who do not believe that a national debt is a national blessing, but rather a curse to a republic, inasmuch as it is calculated to raise around the ad ministration a moneyed aristocracy dangerous to the liberties of the country."
Another of Jackson's quotes that I particularly like, I don't believe was meant for the congress, but it could apply to them today. -
"You are a den of vipers and thieves, I intend to rout you out, and by the grace of the eternal God, will rout you out."
I would hope that attention is also paid to a little known quote from Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President. -
" Public sentiment is everything, with public sentiment nothing can fail, without it nothing can succeed."

What happened to the Jefferson's, Jackson's, & Washington's? They are all playing in the NBA.
Our founding fathers are turning over in there graves, as is Lincoln.
Jackson got really drunk one night and somehow challenged another drunk to a duel, when he woke the next morning he was told that he had challenged the best shot in Virginia. He knew he was screwed because he wasnt that good of a shot. When it came time for the duel Jackson new he had to let the other guy shoot first, which he did missing Jacksons heart by 1/2", Jackson then took it slow aimed for a long time and hit the man right threw the heart, dropping and killing him on the spot. Jackson almost died from his wound but recovered days latter.
Den of vipers, etc. This is a reference to the Bankers. The Federal Reserve Bank is likened to the Saducees in the Temple and usury.
