I am not sure but on Pemberton Drive there is a little place across from Pemberton Elementary (skipjacks maybe?) that has All You can Eat $19.99 plus a pitcher of beer or soda and kids 12 and under $9.99. Thats certainly the best all-you-can-eat price I have seen!
Hoopers in West OC has all you can eat crabs, corn, chicken, shrimp, etc. for $27.95 Next door at Sneaky Pete's, they have all you can eat crabs for $24.95. The food is great and the service is excellent.
Okay, I don't eat seafood, so I'm going to an all you can eat crab house to have fried chicken tonight. 8:54, you need to go out with your friends on their fried chicken night. DOH!
For take-out, try Fat Boy's on Old Ocean City Rd between SBY and Parsonsburg. They sold us some really good crabs a couple of weeks ago, and we've heard that friends have also had a good experience. Thanks for the forum to exchange this type of information, Joe. Once again, sbynews serves the needs of the people!
stay a way from fat boys try skipjacks or cheasapeake treasure , IF yoou want prices call around if you want quality then ask about quality ,were do live i mean if your in oc why are you gonna drive 60 mile round trip.to save a buck ??
"if you want quality then ask about quality ,were do live i mean if your in oc why are you gonna drive 60 mile round trip.to save a buck ??"
I drive from OC to Princess Anne to Cambridge every day so the drive isn't to save a buck. Sam's Club had a dozen nice sized (but cold) steamed crabs yesterday for $20. Most of the AUCE deals served trash crabs. Bahama Mama's has the absolute largest crabs and probably the most expensive. Everyone else seems to be asking $39 a dozen for what they call X-Large.
Hands down Chef Freds has the best eat in all you can eat "Crab Feast" With #1 steamed crabs, the hand battered popcorn shrimp and Homemade hush puppies are Delicious not to mention the chicken is mouth watering and it even comes with steamed shrimp for no extra charge. the corn on the cob is definetly local. you cant beat all that for $27.95
I would like to get a definition of "large" crabs. We went to Chesapeake Treasures last weekend and got a bushel of "larges" and was kind of surprised to see that the crabs were only 5 to 5.5 inches tip to tip. Is this a large crab? I think its more like a small borederline illeagal crab and everyone sells them as larges. What a rip off.
If you just want crabs, and not all the filler crap they serve so you'll eat hush puppies, french fries and corn and not the crabs, the place to go is Skipjack Seafood on Pemberton. They charge $19.95 for AYCE crabs and local corn. They use to include a pitcher of beer in that price, but quite honestly I don't know how they made any money doing that. They also have a menu for the non-crab eaters in your party.
So, if you're interested in simply eating crabs, and not all the other cheap junk the other places throw in to fill you up, $19.95 for AYCE crabs at Skipjacks is the place I call home.
Rodger , i had the same problem at fat boys .In anther post some one sugessted selling by the pound .I now support that,I looked there is no regs at all other than legal.I now look before i pay.
3:04 In the day #1 crabs had a specific size to them. Now, #1 crabs are simply the largest they happen to be catching that day. So what would be called small or mediums in days gone by, are called large today. I personally never buy crabs by the dozen or bushel any more. If I want crabs I go to an AYCE place. If a crab is light or no good, you just throw it in the trash pile and pick up another one. You eat until your heart's content, and you don't have all the mess at home to fuss with.
Waterman's in West Ocean City is pretty decent. For $26.95, you'll get your choice of a side, steamed shrimp, corn and chicken. Something they don't tell you is, if you don't want the steamed shrimp the price is only $22.95. Plus there's an early bird special of $2.00 off if you're seated before 5:00. I have found the crabs to be meaty but on the small to medium size.
riverside seafood on eastern shore drive. new owners, great food!! had shrimp from there last night-huge and soooo good. had crabs from there two weeks ago and delicious

Crab Bag is $21 auce and I think they are the best tasting, better than Old Mill. The owner is piece of...., but the crabs are great!

I assume skipjacks doesn't serve chicken tenders or chicken or anything for non-seafood eating friends?
