Newly Released Press Releases From The Salisbury Police Department

On June 3, 2009 at approximately 1:30 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Hardee’s Restaurant on South Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a robbery. Upon arrival the officers met with employees who advised that the restaurant had been robbed at gunpoint. The employees advised that two (2) suspects had made entry into the restaurant and approached the front counter, producing handguns. The suspects threatened the employees then directed the employees to give the available U.S. Currency to the suspects, who then fled from the restaurant through a rear door. There were no injuries. The suspects were described as:

1. White male, 5’08”, 180 lbs., wearing black sweat pants with a red stripe, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black and white shoes.

2. White male, 5’08”, 175 lbs., wearing black sweat pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, a white face mask and black and white shoes.

On June 3, 2009 at approximately 4:46 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on the seven hundred (700) block of Baker St. for the report of a home invasion robbery. Upon arrival the officers observed that a victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper left chest. This victim, identified as 21 year old Jonathan Michael Duvall of Salisbury, was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he remains in stable condition. Witnesses advised Salisbury Detectives that a lone suspect made entry into the rear of the residence then confronted the victim. The suspect produced a handgun and fired a single shot striking the victim. The suspect then took several items from the residence and fled from the area on foot. This investigation is continuing. The suspect was described as:

Black Male, 20 to 25 years of age, 6’01”, thin build, wearing a black pullover style hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes

On June 3, 2009 at approximately 4:46 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on the seven hundred (700) block of Baker St. for the report of a home invasion robbery. Upon arrival the officers observed that a victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper left chest. This victim, identified as 21 year old Jonathan Michael Duvall of Salisbury, was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he remains in stable condition. Salisbury Detectives, with the assistance of the Salisbury Police Community Action Team were able to identify the below listed suspect and obtained warrants charging the suspect with the shooting.

On the same date at approximately 4:40 pm, officers located and arrested the suspect

ARRESTED: Rashad Lamar Williams, 19 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:

Attempted first degree murder
Attempted second degree murder
First degree assault
Second degree assault
First degree burglary
Armed Robbery

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900019224

Nathan McNeil Long, 42yoa of Salisbury was arrested on June 4, 2009 on an outstanding arrest warrant for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Assault 1st & 2nd, Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure, Reckless Endangerment, and False Imprisonment. On June 2, 2009, Officers responded to the 600 block of Fitzwater St in reference to an assault. Officers met with the victim who advised that she was involved in an argument with Long the day before. Long then got a hammer and pushed the victim onto the bed and started to choke the victim. Long also struck the victim with the hammer and struck the victim several times in the face with a closed fist. The victim attempted to get away from Long. However, Long threatened the victim again and told the victim that she wasn’t going anywhere. The victim was able to escape later in the evening when Long was distracted. Long was released to the custody of Central Booking.
