Code Violations?

Hey Rite Aid, time to cut your grass and clean up your site. It's looks terrible and is violating Salisbury code.

Rite Aid doesn't own that building anymore

yeah rite aid was just leasing that building...hence the reason they moved down the street instead of staying here. Eckerd owned the land and bldg so when Rite Aid bought them out they got it too. FYI...this is in the county and not the city.

i can't believe the real estate agent that has it available hasn't gotten on the owner to have it cleaned up! certainly doesn't show well to prospective investors...

It says on the tax rolls that it is owned by Salisbury Land Associates, LLC. That is not Rite Aid. Just because the mailing address is to Rite Aid doesn't mean they own it. That is just where the tax bills go. Not saying who's right, or wrong, here, just saying the mailing address doesn't make Rite Aid the owner of the building.

I would be surprised if Salisbury Land Assoc, LLC was anything more than a shell company formed by people at Rite Aid to mitigate any liability.

Two Cents is about all your worth!!!

Trust me its not the cities jurisdiction. I write this inside the friendly confines of the GOB.

The head pharmacist told me when I was there to pick up a Rx before they closed what the deal was. I asked how they chose which store to move to. He said that Rite Aid leased that space (Mt Hermon & Civic) and that they now owned the space on the corner of Beaglin Park and Mt Hermon. So the choice was obvious which one to stay in.

Who cares its an empty shell and it will sit and sit and sit. We have to many pharmacys anyway.

Hey it looks like they need a landscaper! I would do it, but doubt that they will hire me!

I rode by there after it closed and saw several computers in the rear of the building. Since then
I have seen people coming and going from that room in the rear.
Any idea whats up with that?

Bet ya they turn it into a Mexican grocery store.

You're in the G.O.B.?

GET BACK TO WORK.

According to your City of Salisbury zoning map and the tax record I linked to above it appears to be in the City. How do you figure it isn't?

The stretch of land between Mt Hermon Road and Rt. 50 all the way to Perdue Stadium is in the City Limits. I think that may have been extended to Wor-Wic Tech but I'm not sure.

Isn't the property in question part of the Old Salisbury Mall land deal? That is certainly in the city, no question about it.

They have city water and sewer out to Wor-Wic however it hasn't been annexed into the city limits, YET!
