Um, really? This is an event to "honor" our elected officials? They oughta be honoring us, without voters they'd just be another member of the public out on the street.

"Honoring our elected officials?!" I'm supposed to shell out FIFTY BUCKS ($200, I suppose, should I choose to also invite my wife & 2 sons) to honor my elected oficials?! I laughed so hard, I almost shot iced tea out my nose! Never mind the insane irony in that notion for a moment. In this current economy, who the heck has $50 pp to dump on crabs & chicken?! Only elected officials would come up w/ such an inane idea to begin with, then attach an equally inane price tag! "RSVP Now!", they say. "It's a popular event!", they say. Well, knock yourselves out, then. Personally, I think you'd have to be a chucklehead of the highest order to sign on for something as utterly GOOFY as this one!!
