Jim Ireton presided over this year's Johnson's Lake Neighborhood Annual Easter Egg Hunt in his first official engagement as mayor-elect. Despite the drizzle, which got heavy at times, the event was well attended by at least 30 kids who didn't even seem to notice the rain.
Susan Carey, neighborhood association president, had put together a well planned event that included fun for both children and adults with an egg hunt, egg races, and egg painting. Five special eggs (four gold and one silver) were hidden across the two yard area and those who found them received an extra special prize. There were also prizes for the race and for the best decorated baskets.
It was nice to see WBOC(their story will run at 7pm) and a reporter for the Daily Times there. Conspicuously absent was WMDT. If they would put TwoSentz in their blogroll, they might be a little more on top of these things. Though I know he is busy, next year I hope to see the Easter Bunny in attendance.
Happy Easter.

Hey Sentz! MDT SUCKS! Not a big surprise that they weren't there.
His heart is always in the right place. Camera or not... We've been doing this for years.
{Someone} must have read my blog about peanutbutter eggs because there were none to be stolen, I mean found. :)
