Salisbury - It Ain't Over Yet

Jim Ireton pulled off an impressive victory on Tuesday.  He (and his many supporters) should be heartily congratulated.  Congrats to Bob Caldwell too.  He may pull ahead of Gary Comegys yet.  We'll know tomorrow.  Congrats to the other candidates as well, especially Cynthia Polk who now moves to the general to face Barrie Comegys candidate Shanie Shields.

While I hate to rain on anyone's parade, we all need to remember - Salisbury, It Ain't Over Yet!.  Neither Gary Comegys nor his SAPOA pals are going to go quietly.  There's going to be lot's of money spent - legally and illegally for the Barrie Comegys ticket of Gary Comegys, Muir Boda, and Shanie Shields.

The next five weeks are going to be a nasty slugfest.  Those candidates representing needed change in Salisbury are going to be the targets of mailings, ads, and vicious whispers.  In fact, it has already begun.

Yesterday was an impressive show.  Unfortunately, it wasn't even half the battle.

The Shanie Shields seat is the one people need to worry about. How anyone can vote for her is beyond me. People in assisted living, exposed to only one candidate in a race, should not be illegally influenced. Where does she live?

You give Comegys to much credit where he dog is concerned. Gary is a bigot and he'll let his dog run until the final results of the general election are in. Then he'll kick that dog into traffic.

Comment Worth of a Post:

Jim:

Look for the Chamber of Commerce and Greater Salisbury Committee to make you their whipping boy for the next month. The landlords and SAPOA have shown their ineptitude in getting Comegys elected as mayor to replace Barrie with a reasonable facsimile thereof.

You won't see Barrie and her lawyer pal Baloney waving Comegys signs at the polls on April 7.

Beware Brad Bellaciccio and the business/professional elite!

Avoid supporting their North Prong nonsense.

Stick with those who proclaimed you to be "the peoples' choice" yesterday.

Good analysis. It ain't over yet. But Ireton and his supporters can take a day to be happy.

12:49 is right. District 1 should not be forgotten. But before everyone comes out hot and heavy for Polk, they need to get some proof about where she stands and with whom. I'm not in District 1. I don't know her and I'm not saying anything bad about her.

But God forbid she become another Louise Smith "tell me I'm a pretty girl" and let those jackals buy her through ego. It took Von Siggers a while to figure out how Barrie used her. People may go with the devil they know than risk that.

12:49-

Ms. Polk should do a special mailing ASAP to each voter in the senior housing facility (The Cottages at River Place) that was going to do the "eat & greet" with Bubba Comegys and Shanie Shields that was cancelled at the last minute. Since Barrie was the one that the owner (Mr. Schuster)contacted about the other candidates, this could be a blockbuster.

Where does Shamie live--can anyone say if she lives in her district or not?

If a city voter is concerned about Shanie's residency, file an inquiry with the local election boards and she'll be required to prove it.

Just like that nutcase Comegys supporter did to Terry Cohen. Wonder how much Wilber charged the taxpayers for that one.

Nasty tastics? Hell yeah, G.A. SpeakEZ (the Sleezy) is over on the Times article doing just that, along with buddy GoodnightCanada, allegedly Mike Dunn.

The Smear Machine is in high gear.
