Over 600 billion for health care now "necessary".
House passed 487 billion "Omnibus" package, in addition to other "stimuli" already passed & signed. Must be some kind of record in little more than a month (1 month & 6 days, not quite.)
At least Bush had a war to "show" for "it". (Not sayin' he was right , either.)
I love the reactions until they realize they have to pay it. It does help people realize the government doesn't have its own money but it is ours, the ones that pay taxes that is. Spend, Spend, Spend!!!!!!!! That is until the people figure out its their money. Wrap it up in a nice package and hide the "pork". Call it something else, they'll never know. Why would the "average Joe", no pun intended, even read the Spending bill? The folks that passed it didn't.....
I actually spent two hours reading it last Saturday! A lot of money for section 8 housing lords. Most money goes to government agencies to spend to more government agencies, some more of which are created to manage the spending. Now I hear that Maryland no longer needing furloughs for the in place government employees. This means that unless you are employed by the government, or working government contracts, you will probably still be subject to furloughs or unemployment, which I think today came to 5.5 million brothers. However, the good news is that as unemployment is an insurance, all that money you and your employers have had to pay over the last 20- 30 years is saved up somewhere, and available now for your rescue in some interest bearing fund.
If you somehow believe that in the next six months Barack will want more bailout money to support unemployment, you are a fool.
Here's your bill, sir.
I hope you fools that voted for Obama and the Democrats in congress realize the mistake you've made!
The children (Democrats) are in the back of the machine called America, and they are cranking all the dials and switches, and have removed all the safety devices.
We are all stuck on this ride for a least 2 years until we can vote all the Dems out of the house and put the safeties back in place.
If I were an Obama voter, I'd be peeling that Obama bumper sticker off of my car right about now!
