They don't call her Louweasel for nothing. She hasn't been true to any of what she said at the forum.
She was trying to shut Terry Cohen up about Pick's flip flop on money for the marina Monday night, just the way Dunn would try to shut Debbie Campbell up.

This woman is total Bulls!!t? I think Mr. Harrison had a very appropriate response (thank you Mr. Dunn). I swear, him and Louweasal are one in the same. This is the forum for citizens to make responses to their idiotic ideas and ask questions, and by the way, get answers. But this never happens at the meetings. Louweasal did the same thing to Mr. Hannon the other night and actually I thought Mr. Hannon gave us a very good history lesson and I thought it was rather interesting. But....it was almost 8 pm and Louweasal doesn't like to go beyond that time, I guess she'll turn into more of a b!!ch.
Joe, I think you need to do a post on the campaign contributions of Ireton and Comegys now that they've been published. I noticed the Daily Times didn't identify Ireton's contributors and then they didn't delineate between where Ireton's expenses left off and where Comegys contributions began.
I think the end of Ireton Expenses was at "Karen Silverstrim, prepare will, silent auction item, $100.00." Next begins Gary Comegys Contributors beginning with "Gamee Elliott, Salisbury, $250." So Ireton had 107 people contributing to his campaign, only four of whom gave the maximum donation of $250. Gary Comegys had 22 contributors 13 of which (over half) gave the full $250. So this reveals that Ireton has a wider base of support from average people while Comegys has very little support, but lots of it from people with money. Go back and look at Comegys' donors and count how many are landlords or developers. This will reveal the special interests backing Comegys. He won't have the City taxpayers' interest in mind, he will be protecting the special interests of people who make their money off the decay of the City. Remember that when you vote on Tuesday.
Public input at government hearings is just that, input. It's not a debate or a question and answer period. For the sake of fairness, a time limit has to be afixed to each presentation, or you'll end up having one citizen filibustering an entire meeting. The objective is to allow as many citizens as possible the opportunity to present information or their opinion relevant to the point being considered. Roberts' Rules is followed for a reason. After the elected officials have gathered their own information, as well as taken into consideration the feedback presented by the citizens, they vote. If the citizens don't like how a certain politician has voted, they then have an opportunity to cast their vote on the elected official. If citizens can't find their way off the couch for 15 minutes to vote come election time, they really have no reason to complain. As Charlie Eckman would say, "It's a very simple game."
This was just public comment, not a hearing. In a hearing, people should be able to take more time to present information that could wind up in court.
Sure, nothing wrong with time limits and rules, but it helps if people know what they are! And if they are applied the same way!
Louise was counting down while Mr. Harrison was speaking. Try keeping a train of thought while that harassment is going on.
To be fair, that woman is no leader! And the elderly should get a little consideration. Mr. Hannon has been a longtime valuable member of this community. I'll listen to him talk over listening to Louise any day.
To 10:35 am - I have found my way off the couch and to the polls every election day, but, when we are continually lied to during the campaign process and lied to at every meeting, it's time for those that got elected, by lying to us, to shut their lying mouths and listen to what the citizens have to say and what they want.
