I was told by a former employee of the WCDC that officers being impregnated by inmates is a very common occurrence.
this is why jails/prisons should hire and assign only same officers of the same sex. oh i forgot that would be discrimination so they will continue to hire opposite sex staff and put others who work there in danger a make the welfare bill higher. what i think is funny is when they employ the woman who you can just look at and listen to and know that they will do these things. the ones with the real short crazy looking hair and talk like they have no education.

I havent been a single woman in years but are the pickings that slim out there for my single sisters? Those are the guys you try to avoid hooking up with (jailbirds).
You get what you pay for (to quote Chief Dykes)! In Wicomico County the bottom of the barrel starts at WCDC then goes to SPD and so on. This is evident when one evaluates the turnover rate and the employees who are fired or arrested.
Anyone who currently works at WCDC or has in the last 3 years should know exactly who sent in this post just from the verbage used.
cant expect the quality of real police when they get 14$ an hour. though spd probly makes less then that if u divide their salary by the hours they work. Sad when a mcdonalds manager makes the same or more then both
What no security camera's? Ever square foot of that building should be under watch at all times. WTF?
A manager at McDonald's does make more than an officer at SPD, that is a fact. There is overtime at a salary base, however our officers work overtime too. Mcdonald's managers also recieve bonus' for good performance.
My 1st question is...did these female officers get "with baby" before the "daddy" was in jail or did this happen within the confines of WCDC? If this did happen within the WCDC, then it should be in the hiring agreement that you agree to automatic termination.
2nd question...how often does a male officer inpregnate a female prisoner? Should be the same result...termination. I am spending lots of good $ on the outside taking women out on dates to try to get some good lovin' & these individuals are making it a part of their everyday job duties?!?!?!?! Not fair to me...they are GONE, TERMINATED, RAISING BABY ON THE OUTSIDE.

I am a female who worked in corrections for 12 years. I moved on to a new job at that time because of the mandatory overtime. I am appauled at the events of WCDC. First of all, it NEVER crossed my mind to mess with the inmates in any way! These females should be mortified to have their names mentioned in a public blog relating to having babies belonging to inmates. And, Ofc Ayres, I dont know you. However, by what I am reading here (including your comment), you appear to be nothing more than trash! So, my question for you is..... you are out on maternity leave....is your inmate "baby daddy" gonna be released to be on paternity leave? And....while he is locked up (either now or while he serves "life on the installment plan") please make sure YOU support that child....I shouldnt have to.

Your baby surely could have used that. Well since he was sentenced to 20 yrs with 12 years suspended, I guess he thought it was a small price to pay for his early freedom. You be sure and send him some money for commissary because he sure won't be sending you any in the future.

Did this happen? I have no idea. And if you want debate it all you want. It's just that alot of this sounds like high school name calling. We need to take the debate higher (ie stop bickering amongst yourselves and unite to fight the common problem). Why is it there still isn't a union at WCDC? I am much more concerned about that then who Ayres might/might not be doing.

The warden isn't the only person who needs to bite the dust. The entire chain of command starting with the Sgt's on up needs to bite the dust. The leadership in this facility sucks. There is no honor. No trust. No respect. Didn't the last warden go through this craps with the very same command staff. Upper management know nothing but revenge. And, they have taught the supervisor the same thing. Hate and revenge. No one is safe at wcdc. No one. And, to top it off; Ruth Colbourn is in training for the warden position. GOD help you all.
