Today's Grapevine

"Web logs and politics

The only way to limit the influence of destructive Web blogs on Salisbury politics is to make those blogs a liability for politicians who use them. This goes for blogs that thrive on personal attacks and bullying. Any candidates who use these blogs to promote themselves will not receive my vote -- period. Any candidate who publicly repudiates these blogs will have my ear and a chance for my vote. Remember what happened to Andy Harris. Are you reading this, Debbie Campbell, Tim Chaney, Bob Caldwell and Jim Ireton?"

Ladies & Gentlemen, will you get a load of that crap! The BLOGS, meaning, and only meaning Salisbury News, has grown SO LARGE, now they want to say don't vote for any candidate that uses the Blogs to promote their campaign.

Here they have some Idiot using ANONYMOUS in the Grapevine suggesting such a thing simply because the Daily Times is failing like there's no tomorrow. The Tilghman Administration has lost all control and Salisbury News has exposed both the Administration AND the Daily Times.

Look, no matter which way you look at it, it's a compliment. Salisbury News without a question has blown away the Daily Times in readership and they're toast. While we're at it though, why doesn't this person denounce the Salvation Army, the Mulford Family, Relay for Life, Humane Society, Wicomico County Government, Kids of Honor, State Police, Sheriff's Office, shall I go on?????????

In reply I'd say, DO NOT VOTE for ANY Candidate that uses the Daily Times to promote their campaign. First let me start by saying, I'M USING MY NAME and NOT hiding behind anonymous. You can get double the reward here by not voting for that candidate AND dropping your subscription to the Daily Times. You can then come here for FREE and enjoy real time news and never get sent as bill. Oh, I should add, you'll also be saving millions of trees around the world.

The person didn't list Muir Boda, who is also depending on another blog to support his candidacy.

Its to late for this Mrs Annon, the bloggs are here to stay, some of these so called public servant are not. The bloggs are the beginning of the revolution, power of the pen lady. Theres a new day dawning and the lights are on and you cant turn them off.

Funny how Comegys and Boda weren't mentioned for slumming with a certain blogger who runs, by far, the nastiest blog in town. Fancy that.

They forgot Gary Comegys who is also relying on that same blog to promote his campaign.

I guess Joe could take this as a reply from Gary Comegys, he won't be getting any press releases from him. Oh well, his loss our gain. I don't know of anyone voting for him anyway.

Ok lets have fun today save a tree vote for the salisbury news. Joe for President of the Free Green blog

Muir Boda call Comegys "Bubba" until he got his support. I guess thats front page news for the Daily, soon to be extinct Times

Muir Boda and Gary Comegys are supported by a blogger who is far worse than Joe. At least Joe has done some good for this community (all the charity stuff and the WWTP to name a few). the green guy has done NOTHING for Salisbury except create the most vile blog out there. How come nobody mentioned that at the DT? Message to green guy (because you check this blog obsessively): your new "friends" are just using you! Wait to see how much they talk to you after the election. Do you have any idea what they say about you behind your back?

It is fun to look at the dt grapevine. The amount of ignorance on there is so funny. Well, it would be if all that ignorance did not cost working Americans so much money each year.

Everyone is on to these butt heads,
just a last ditch effort for
Boda and Comegy to slander Joe.
This is a good way to lose the
election with negative comments.
People are not going to tolerate this crap anymore! The public is tired of all the lies and BS ,
They will not adhere to the
"Good old Boys" ( and I mean boys)

It's a wakeup call. Remember this blog helped to expose the crime in our community. In my opinion, the Daily Times would not have the front page in their paper today
if it wasn't for this Blog. Sadly today's paper makes Salisbury look like a war zone. We desparately need accountability...

Can anyone say lets insert some of our own editorial opinion under the thinly veiled guise of being from an actual reader?

Remember what happened to Andy Harris.

That line looks like it came from the Boss Hogg playbook at his crooked school of politics in Pocomoke City.

There were two non-incumbent candidates running for freshmen Congressional a seat during a Presidential election year.

The winner was swept into office on the coat tails of a public who were not voting for the new President, they were voting AGAINST the old president.

The race for the local congressional seat was not won based on logic or any sort of a platform other than 'Bush is Bad' everyone associated with Bush or his party is bad.

Right now the people who voted for Kratovil (along with the rest of us) are about to be bent over and raped with this 'economic stimulus package' which is worse than the last one passed by the Democratic majority creating $850 billion in corporate welfare for political donors and fat cats.

As far as the Grapevine and its lame statements about bloggers go.

Wymzies mother had a saying "Stupid people think everybody else is stupid!"

This message is a direct threat from the sitting municipal government in Salisbury, Maryland against anyone who publicly opposes them on this blog.

My response:

KISS MY GRITS!

So what we have here is a bunch of anonymous online postings angrily slamming a bunch of anonymous printed postings. Riiight.

Long live sbynews! This is my place for local news. Sorry DT.

Joe can you get endorsements from Debbie, Tim, Bob and Jim? If they endorse you, they have my vote!

Anonymous said...

That's a great idea, 2:27. It's time for Salisbury politicians to stand up and be counted with the side for truth. Almost by himself, Joe has exposed the lies of Tilghman's admin. If you want my vote, stand by Joe and be counted!

Joe, I hope whoever gets elected offers you a spot in the new administration. You could oversee the Office of Truth.

I remember this b.s. from the last election. A question came up about the blogs during the WMDT candidates debate.

Gary Comegys DENOUNCED the blogs and said everyone else at the table should, too.

Terry Cohen talked about the principal of free speech and being a selective consumer of news products and making your own decision.

Guess who got MY vote?

That Grapevine was probably written by Gary Comegys. Or one of his comrades in arms, notably Lynn Cathcart (who just spoke up about this) or Mike Dunn (believed by most to have posted some vile comments about Cohen and Campbell on the Daily Times story chats).

Speaking of which, where do the Times and all their hypocrites like the person writing that Grapevine get off? The Times started story chats and forums to compete with the blogs, and some of the stuff on there beats even the ugliest comments on here. At least Joe moderates some of that bile off his board!

Dang! If I had to choose between a legal handgun or Mr. Joes BlogSite, it would be a tough decision, but I would pick Mr. Joe's site first. THEN get the gun...lol
At least he keeps me informed before the, trying to be nice here, table cloth for eating steamed crabs does.
