Vandalism In Rustic Acres

"Joe,

These are photos taken today of vandalism in the rustic acres subdivision. These boxes are set in place early in december by children in the neighborhood as drop off sites for a food drive that they do. It is a shame that someone doesn't have anything better to do than destroy someone elses property. I had also heard that one of the boxes had feces and tp left inside. I would love to see the persons responsble for this held accountable. The children that man this food drive have to be devastated by someone defacing their good deed. I just hope that the damage can be repaired and the boxes back in place to continue the drive as I believe the goods are delivered on Christmas Eve by the children.

Sounds like more than a prank. Whoever is responsible seems to need some mental health intervention. Very sad for everyone involved!

How disgusting and juvenile. Looks like the work of 12 year old punks.

This is a dirty rotten stunt that cannot even be classified as a prank.

Whomever did this left their DNA behind in the feces but the cost to process is pretty high.

I think that maybe a group of people should get together and repair these boxes to the way they were before sundown today.

Then set up a webcam across the street or motion detector lights.

This is just a crappy thing to do!

on the other hand, what are these big stupid boxes laying around outside for? sure, the prank was stupid and wrong but they should have planned the food drive better.

and couldn't someone more pragmatic just steal the food?

The boxes have been placed at the entrances for 3 years now w/o a problem. This is a central drop spot for the residents as they come & go. These kids collect, divide and distribute to many families. Why don't you share with us how many items/goods you have collected for needy! If not perhaps you could make a substantial non-perishable food donation to their cause.

The graffiti was painted over that afternoon as soon as the parents could get home from work and the boxes are still in place and waiting to be filled with food items!
